Finals 2024 Result

Back in August the four finalists gave a packed Ings church an evening to remember with four outstanding, interesting and very different 20-minute programmes.

The winner of the £1000 first prize was Laura Massey (cello) with runner-up Charlotte Thomson (soprano) winning £500. Jess Moore (alto saxophone) and Sam Weakley (baritone) shared 3rd place and each received £250.

You should have been born/educated in Cumbria and be aged 16-22 on the 1st July in the year of the competition. You must have passed Grade 8 or be currently studying at grade 8 standard.

Finals Concert

This years concert with seven young Cumbrian musicians was a great success. All of the performers gave skilled and delightful recitals to a good sized audience. The Keldwyth Award Society is very grateful to the Judges, performers, and to our accompanist, David Battersby, for their respective contributions to the event. The winner was Helen Southernwood (soprano) with Jacob Egglestone (guitar) the runner-up.
