Lee Edgington – Teenage Kicks

Born in Buckland Hospital and lived in Dover all his life. Lee was a mobile DJ from 1976-2000 and has previously Broadcast on local Radio, with White Cliffs Radio & Coastline FM. His show was the local band show & was using cassettes at the start! The local News Hound was none other than Dominic King (now Radio Kent) & he introduced him to Minidisc - those were the days! He grew up as a Punk Rocker & loved Reggae music. In the mid 80’s, he formed a Skiffle Band called The Ranting Skifflers & is currently a member of 9 piece Ska band called Intensified.
Lee currently has a show on DCR called “Teenage Kicks” which is on Fridays between 12 and 3pm in the afternoon (Repeated on Tuesday’s 9-12pm). He features Ska, Reggae, Rock & Roll, Blues, Rock, Mod, 60’s Garage, Soul, Northern Soul, Funk, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & Disco.

Tashomi regularly travels all over the world playing places like Dubai, Italy, and Africa as a Very sort after musical talent, He has Recently played on Kisstory and events and made his VIBEROOM debut in 2024 with his band.

🗞 NEWS: After the success of the BIG Dover Jobs Fairs, we’re now bringing you the BIG Dover Training Day!
The event is on 19 February, from 9:30am-3:30pm, at EKC Dover College.
You’ll be able to try a range of introductory workshops from food safety and creative writing, to childcare, hair and beauty, vehicle maintenance, plumbing – plus much more!

Our Story

Set up to support community projects in the local area, the Dover District Lotto operates on the principle of raising money within the community for the community. We empower local good causes to raise money in a fun and effective way. A ticket for the Dover District Lotto costs £1 per week and 60p will go directly to good causes!

DCR aims to provide an opportunity for anyone interested in radio and the community as a whole, to become involved with the radio station to help enhance and inform Dover as a community. Many of our current presenters were introduced into broadcasting by DCR using our training studio, specialist knowledge and experience. Individuals from within the District interested in getting into broadcasting are welcome and encouraged to explore opportunities and ideas.

DCR needs and welcomes your financial support to assist with the acquiring of a temporary or permanent FM licience, the technical running of the station, outside events and other essential activities that go towards running and developing a successful radio station.
