Today is World Emoji Day! 🤩
Did you know the first emoji was created by Shigetaka Kurita in 1999?
The word emoji comes from the Japanese 絵 ("e," picture), 文 ("mo," write) and 字 ("ji," character).
Emoji remained largely confined to Japan 🇯🇵 for over a decade.
It was not until 2010 that emoji were incorporated into Unicode, the standard that governs the software coding of text. That year, 722 emoji were released on both iPhone and Android.
I am a huge advocate of using emojis as they do a great job of communicating our feelings. 🥰

I love the huge power of social media that brings people together with likeminded people. Social media can be an amazing environment to encourage each other, communicate with people and share our stories. There are,of course,toxic environments on social media as well but I believe it is a matter of choice, we can decide where we keep our presence and stay away from negativity.
On a business level, social media amplifies our message and has the power of help us reach bigger audiences.
