A crow who was rescued after becoming entangled on a Swansea aerial due to a plastic bag has triggered a renewed warning from the RSPCA about the hazards of plastic bags and litter to wildlife.



The bird was spotted in distress on 1 June as he had become stuck on an aerial on a roof at Caeconna Road, Portmead, Swansea.

Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a road traffic collision on Yspitty Road, Bynea, that occurred at around 2.45pm on Sunday, June 16.
It is believed that a yellow Daytona Triumph motorcycle collided with the central island and, sadly, the male rider died at the scene.

Philip Venn, aged 60, died in a road traffic collision on the A40 between Llandovery and Llanwrda at around 1.05pm.

His family and friends have issued a statement to say:

Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 1.05pm, Wednesday, 12th June 2024.

A beige Volkswagon campervan and a blue and white Honda motorcycle collided on the A40 between Llanwrda and Llandovery.

Sadly the male rider of the motorcycle died at the scene. The road was closed and reopened at about 11.15pm.
