Having worked on the Cinematic Trailer for Romeo & Juliet, followed by the fight scenes for the stage production of the same recently (to great reviews) "thrusting the 400 year old play to the rocking 50's... with aplomb where crow-bars replace swords... The opening shows the first clash between the Montagues and Capulets, involving a brilliantly directed fight scene..." Work begins on this year's Pantomime - Robin Hood!
2 Fight scenes and the role of Sheriff of Nottingham... should be fun!

Hey Guys & Gals it's 'B'-Movie time of year again!
We have been asked how many we could put in-the-field for a couple of Low Budget productions, between now and Christmas?
So, who's up for it?... Now when I say Low, I really mean that they aspire to low; this is a "Red-label tea-bag and no biscuits" operation. That said it is a feature film and therefore, good experience. Filming will be in North Wales as before and at a minimum rate of £50 per day. We are pushing for more but that's the minimum. Also, there will be some SA work available over and above the fight work. That way if the fight days are not concurrent there may be SA days to link them together.
We anticipate 3-5 days work on this project which begins on November 9th for 2½ weeks. The Stunt Co-ordinator is endeavouring to get the fight days as a block. The 2nd project in the first 2 weeks of December is a pilot for a Feature for which the funding is expected, especially if we do a great job on the pilot!
We would obviously have to be very good at communicating and organising lift-shares, etc. to make it pay (or at least, not cost!). I can take a couple of extra bodies and hopefully, my caravan which will sleep 3 plus the co-ordinator has a guest house. Accommodation shouldn't be an issue.

Further to last post - Great response guys. Waiting for confirmation of dates and final numbers now. I know the info is sketchy, but as it's on a gentleman's agreement and sans contract: we're keeping everything close to our chest until the booking is made. We need fighters for a new film shooting this month. It's a 3-day block sometime (dates TBC) in the 2 weeks of November starting on the 12th.
There should be work for as many people as we can put forward. Low pay (£60 per day) but free accomodation on-site, many of us should be able to car-share and CREDITS! Remember it will be 3-days together which will help massively in terms of cost and logistics. Let me know ASAP who's definitely coming, who's interested but date dependent, etc.

Must-Watch TV! This Sunday on Channel 4 at 8pm: the Falklands Most Daring Raid. On the 30th Aniversary of this event an excellent tribute to this amazing aircraft, the Vulcan Bomber. Looks great now and was designed in the 1950's. Oh, and I'm not biased but I'm in it! As Martin Withers the only pilot to complete the mission. One of the best bookings I've ever had... so far!
As it stands, we have the venue on the 3rd Sunday each month. So, see you all on Sunday 18th March
Thanks to Rich, Rob, Eva & Jitan for coming on Sunday. Although the turnout was low it meant we could blast through the syllabus, filming and reviewing the action as we went. I must at this point congratualte Rich, not only as our first "Official" graduate of Stage I (Yes, Rob I know you were there too, but you have the good fortune to share in our BAA Experience. So, you're already of-a-level), but for the quality of your input and performance. For those of you who weren't there... I can only say the the "Destruction of Bieber" made my 2012 so far! Our 'sport' is primarilay about physical acting and Richard threw himself into the role wholeheartedly and competently. So, thanks again and Well Done

Hi Everyone: whilst we hope to get together again before the New Year, we have the good fortune to be Feature Fighting in the new film of Henry V starting next week and continuing through a good chunk of December.
We have also been provisionally booked for the subsequent Henry IV filming in January/Febuary 2012. To address this I am going to approach our venue with a view to setting dates for the whole year; in order that we may all plan ahead as much as possible.
We are also re-launching our training which looks like comprising of 2 x 4 part studies. The 1st of these must be completed by anyone wishing to be put forward for work such as that above. The 2nd for Feature work.
We are very keen to have as many people at performance standard as possible. For example the Agincourt Battle is using 60 performers and we would love to be in a position where we can supply more people. This will also require membership and insurance, etc. More details at sessions.
Hi Everyone: Plea for help. I've made some shorts (films, not pants!) with students at Gloucester University this year; and, the bunch I've been working with need 2-3 guys in armour to chase the "hero" of a 10 minute short next week. The fee is love & fresh-air and a CREDIT of course; but, the experience should be good - working to camera etc. We can car share if it helps, I've got a 7-seater so we should be okay... Own costume preferred: call me ASAP please. Filming takes place on Thursday 24th.
