I mean, we were due another ode to the marshes. They deliver every single season, but they SPARKLE in winter. And mornings like this are rare. Clear blue skies and a fresh, frost-tipped earth. They’re the kind where you *must* throw on your coat and grab your camera before you’ve had time to think. Because if you’re lucky, you’ll catch the magic before it’s gone. Pastel paints against the sky. Twinkling early light. A short (but sweet) birdsong. Mist lingering over water.

Keep swiping for the fleeting robin, and one very happy photographer. One with the new Bad Bunny album playing in her ear. And this song (THIS SONG) was just the cherry on top of this icy morning ❄️🧁✨

I know, I know. It’s now 2025. But your girl loves reflecting back as much as looking forwards, so I’d be remiss not to include a proper travel roundup of 2024. Because it was truly a good’un. There was a lot of savouring (and getting under the skin of) my fave places. New York (Jan / Apr / Oct) and Paris (Feb, June, Nov) made repeat appearances. Plus, some new UK exploration. Two new countries activated. And a LOT of photos taken in what is clearly my numero uno coat 🧸 So here’s a lil recap of the year’s adventures. And here, here to clocking up many more in 2025☀️🧳🎒🗺️ 🌍

I spent a gorgeous late autumn weekend in the Haute-Savoie + Geneva in early December, and it was the perfect reminder that ANY time of year is a good time for travel. (Not that I needed much convincing🙃 I’d been to Annecy once before (in the height of summer) but I must say, seeing the lake shine in the soft winter light was truly magical. Oh, and so was that tartiflette. Here are some of the holiday highlights:

I’ve seen this trend doing the rounds, and I just couldn’t resist. Sometimes, in the thick of daily mundanity (and ngl, it’s current bedfellow, stress), I can forget just how much I’ve been slowly ticking away at my BIG LIFE BUCKET LIST.

Back at uni (many many many moons ago), I filled up a small notebook with all the things I hoped to do “one day”, from living abroad, to swimming with stringrays, to going on safari in Africa. And I feel incredibly lucky, and immensely privileged, that so many adventures on that list have come to fruition.

With a dash of bravery, a strong dose of faith and a hell of a lot of hard work, it’s amazing how much of what we desire can be within reach. Even around your steady 9 to 5. Even in the midst of heartbreak. Even when you have no one to go with you. Even if it takes the course of 20+ years, and a lot of quiet moments and diligence in between. So keep slowly, surely, ticking away at your beautiful bucket list. I know I will, because there is still so much more to go ☺️But remember to look back too, and savour, relish, all the incredible memories and moments you’ve created. Young Yari would be so proud 🥹
