Well this is quite an emotional post (for me) I must admit, but to keep this fairly short and to the point… I’ve thought long and hard about this but I have decided to wind down Fired Up at the end of this year.

As some of you may know I took over the already established Fired Up Records from Jupe back in 2007. Jupe did a fantastic job getting the label up and running, initially with vinyl releases and then into the digital era. I stepped in and took on the challenge of keeping it going and hopefully doing him proud, quite a daunting task having never run a business or a label before but wanted to give it my all!

It might ‘just be a label’ to most but for me it kind of became part of my personality and purpose, at least in the beginning. I’d never had an opportunity to run a business and get out there and try find the best music that fit with the name and what it was all about, but I honestly feel it’s been a great journey of meeting new people/artists and being lucky enough to sign some outstanding tracks.

Thank you to all the artists who have sent your music in and been part of it, and thanks of course to all those who have followed us throughout the years! The label couldn’t have carried on without you all taking interest and buying the music in what is quite a hard industry to keep consistently succeeding in…

Finally, though the label will cease trading, I’ll leave the page open. Myself and maybe the infamous John Ridout/Interstellar Troublemaker will continue to push out freebies for anyone who wants it!! 🎉😊
