There are several Masjids in UK where Azan and Bayans are broadcast via internet. In another words this is called digital transmission.

Sometimes it is reffered to as live streaming.

There are various ways one can broadcast via internet, and cost of installation varies hugely, depending on who wants (i.e. large company/small group/individual person) to include digital broadcasting on their website and what method they wish to adopt.

In all cases it is imperative that the Masjid will need to have a high quality internet/ broadband installed.

Digital Transmission

The beauty of our digital system is that listeners will have receiver just like with the Analogue system, so unlike with the App-based system, people neither need to be reminded of the broadcast nor the people need to switch on their App on the phone (which is necessary with MixLR system). I am afraid people are far too busy on their phones to be listening to Masjid broadcast on MixLR.

We can install our digital system in your Masjid within a couple of hours of arriving as long as you have an active router working in your Masjid not far from the sound system area. If the router is far away, like on the 3rd floor from where the sound system is, then it will add costs of running the cable.

Please get in touch with us if you need more information.

Remember, we can always supply and fit an Analogue system, if you prefer. We have many years of experience in this field.

Why not give me a call on 07949909304 and ask any question to clarify?

I have now installed this Digital system at the following Masjids

Masjid-Aisha in Walsall

Masjid-Aqsa in Walsall

Shah Jalal Masjid in Eileen Grove Manchester

West London Islamic Education Centre Masjid in Fulham London

DIGITAL TRANSMISSION

The beauty of our digital transmission system is that people can listen to the Masjid’s broadcast, the same as when they listen at home using our analogue system. Though, the difference is that people need to buy a new digital receiver; it won’t be received on the old analogue receiver.

There are other major advantages with our digital system. These are as follows:

You can receive the broadcast with no limit on distance, no matter where you are in the world.
The sound is crystal clear.
You do not need a license from Ofcom to operate the system.
The full installation of the system in your Masjid only cost £350.
Although, the following points need to be borne in mind when choosing this digital system.

Every home will need a good quality Wi-Fi signal to marry to the digital radio as it works using the internet.
There will be an annual server fee to maintain the digital broadcast.
No listener needs to pay any annual fee.
You cannot receive the broadcast on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
Each digital receiver will cost £60. It isn’t like a walkie-talkie; it is a robust receiver.
There are other digital broadcasting systems on the market allowing broadcast to be listened to on your phones and tablets, but let’s be honest, who remembers to switch on their phone at the time of an Azan or a Bayan? People are far too busy with social media on their phones.

Our digital radio sits somewhere in the house where it is permanently switched on, just like the analogue radio, and waiting to receive the signal from your Masjid. While the analogue system is excellent, one of the biggest problems with it is that, in most cases, it can only cover a distance of no more than a 3 miles radius from a Masjid.

If you are interested in our digital system, we can let you borrow a receiver tuned to one of the 8 Masjids in England, where we have already installed our system—Walsall, Manchester, Fulham London, Sheffield, Worcester and Tilbury in Kent. You can then connect the receiver to your home or Masjid’s Wi-Fi, where your committee can listen and make an informed decision.

If you are interested in receiving more information about the system, do not hesitate to call Gulambhai at 07949909304.

Islamic Education Centre, 121 Beavercoates Road, Sheffield

Al-Madina Masjid in Worcester

Islamic Education Centre, 159 St. Chads Road, Tilbury

If you physically want to see how the system works, why not visit a Masjid near you and ask the management committee there?

If you are serious and want to test it listening quality, I am happy to forward you a radio listening kit assigned to any of the above Masjid, and you can listen at your home. If you do not like it, just return the item back to me.

You can always phone me on 07949909304 Gulam bhai

Azaan Receivers

We sell this Analogue radio at a competitive price. Before dispatch, we will memorise channels with your chosen frequencies and their names on the display. Another feature of our pre-programming is that we will disable the transmit capability of the radio so that nobody can broadcast from this radio. Unfortunately, there have been many cases where children and even adults have broadcast music and speeches on the same frequency as the Masjid, thus causing a nuisance to the public. For the latest price, please call on the mobile number or submit the enquiry form.

Azaan Receivers
Azaan Receivers
There are many Azaan receivers available on the market and can be bought from online retailers and electronic stores. We at GB Electronics, provide both the products and the services required to set up Azaan Transmission within a Masjid. This has saved our existing customers a lot of time required to find suitable and qualified engineers to install the equipment.

The BaoFeng UV-5R radios which are pretty common are available online for purchase e.g. eBay. Main problem of buying your recievrs online is that these are actually walkie Talkies and therefore not only you can you listen to Azaan on these radios, but you can you can also transmit. While you radio is tuned to your Masjid if you press the PTT button on the left side of the radio it will transmitt on the same frequency as your Masjid. Recxently there have been many cases where people have caused a serious nuisance to other listeners. There are times when kids mess about and end up transmitting on the same frequency.
It is important to note that transmitting from this radio because it is illegal, unless you have a license from Ofcom.
So, why should you buy receivers from us?
Before we dispatch receivers we make sure that the PTT switch is completely disabled, so at notime you can transmitt. This is safety feature that only G. B. Electronics install before selling all receivers.
– We have professional staff that ensure all equipment is installed correctly and is thoroughly inspected.

Almost all of the Masjid frequencies in the UK are stored in each radio as channel numbers. With each radio you will receive a list of frequencies with its relevant channel number. You will also get an “easy to understand” instruction page written in plain English.
Before purchasing, just advise us of your frequency, so that we can make sure that it is in the radio.

Using the receiver is fairly simple. Just make sure that you leave the unit in the charging cradle, so that it is always charged.

Azaan Transmitters

Many people are unsure about the technology used behind setting up Azaan Transmitters in Masjids. We can help you to understand the technology required and show you how easy it is to use for your daily transmissions of the Bayan Prayer and Azan!

Transmitters are referred to as a device that can send out an audio signal. Transmitters are normally installed at a primary location, which in this case would be the Masjid. The Signal is then picked up by radio receivers set up at other locations for people to listen to. This would be homes in the locality of the Masjid. To gain a better understanding please look at the diagram.

Azaan Transmitters
The most common type of transmission system used in uk Masjids is the Analogue one. People at home can have a small Analogue receiver which is permanently switched on and tuned to his/her Masjid. So, when Azan of Bayan starts, the transmission will be heard instantly. Of course, the range (distance) of signal is limited by Ofcom, the government agency from whom one has to acquire a license before transmission. We at G. B. Electronics will help you with that pocess.

The other type of transmission system is digital. Of course, with this system you do not need any license; and the big advange here is that you can reach to the whole world; there is no limit to the distance. However, there are many disadvanges with this system. Because it is broadcasted on internet, both the Massjid and the rceipient will need internet or phone data. Unfortunatley, a lot our older folk is still unfamiliar with this technology, and our younger generation is too busy on WhatsApp.

Azaan Digital Transmitters
There are several Masjids in UK where Azan and Bayans are broadcast via internet. In another words this is called digital transmission.
Sometimes it is reffered to as live streaming.
There are various ways one can broadcast via internet, and cost of installation varies hugely, depending on who wants (i.e. large company/small group/individual person) to include digital broadcasting on their website and what method they wish to adopt.
In all cases it is imperative that the Masjid will need to have a high quality internet/ broadband installed.

Advantages of the system,
1. You do not need any license to broadcast.
2. Your broadcast can be heard all over the world; no limit on distance.
3. Listeners can hear on home computer, tablet, ipad and on android or iPhone.
Disadvantages of the system,
1. If the internet is down at Masjid from where the transmission is taking place, then the broadcast will stop.
2. Listeners will need a good Wi-fi signal or a good data plan to pick up the signal.
3. Just like an annual fee to Ofcom, you need to pay a fee to a hosting company to take a space on internet. (say $17/month).
4. There are still many homes who do not have internet, and people of older times do not understand internet.
Whatever you choose to install, please do mashwera in your Masjid or community before deciding what system you want.
We will I. A. install this system where we will supply all the necessary equipments for the broadcast to work correctly and efficiently. One thing you do need to do is have high quality broadband.
