I set up my first magazine in 2006 as I knew there was a need for a good publication which would give residents a real idea of what was happening locally, as well as giving small local businesses a platform to highlight their business to targetted customers. More than a decade later, the magazines are still thriving and are available in print and online.

The wonderful Dame Maureen Lipman appears at this Christmas in Beauty and the Beast. She talked to Pippa Duncan about love, loss, what the role of Evelyn Plummer has added to her life and, of course, playing Mrs Potty. Is she going to slow down now she’s newly engaged at 78? Oh no she’s not! Read the full interview in the current issues. Link in bio ☺️

I can't believe that I'm celebrating 18 years of running the magazines! It's been an absolute pleasure to help hundreds of businesses to raise their profile locally digitally and in print. And getting to know the people behind the businesses has led to many friendships - you know who you are! Anyone wanting new customers? I'm happy to have a chat - the magazines might not end up being right for you, but always happy to talk!

Deliveries have started for the Sept/Oct issue - one of my favourite issues of the year! Check out my interview with Paul Sinton-Hewitt, founder of , which celebrates 20 years this October. As a recent returnee to the Richmond Park parkrun (hills!) it is great to be part of such a wonderful group where, as S-H says, wellbeing and community comes before fastest times.
I also interviewed Marlene Lawrence, who set up the local wild swimming group, The Teddington Bluetits. I am determined to try this before the end of the year! Anyone else want to join in? Read the article online (link in bio) or wait for your copy to come through the door!

What I love about this image is that the window is a perfect picture frame from inside or out. Whilst most extension windows tend to be smaller, or go right across a back wall, I love that this design is a statement in itself. Look from either side and all you see is beauty. I love the drop lampshades over the dining table, the two level view to the front of the house and light well in the ceiling. All designed by the local team at . Oh, and if you're wondering, those beautiful pink flowers below the window are Lychnis. They are prolific in our garden, too, and come back year after year. You can see more of 's designs at www.architect-yourhome.com.

The first gardens highlighted in our May/June issue open this Sunday, 19th May! There's the 18 beautiful gardens which make up the Richmond Hill Open Gardens. All are within walking distance of each other and there's also a plant sale at Gloucester House. If you get a little parched and in need of a rest, there's tea and cake at St Mathias Church on the top of the hill.

And, on Kew Green, three fabulous gardens backing on to the Thames are open as a small group. Lush lawns, winding paths, and climbing roses... just totally English!

Find out more in the online edition - link in bio.

I'll be highlighting other gardens soon! If you go on Sunday, which one was your favourite?

Happy Easter everyone! Enjoy the long - rainy? - weekend. If it's raining I'm going to indulge in a box set or movie. Not sure if I can get past Season 1 of Succession (mean, horrible people!), but might indulge in a couple of rom coms. Any suggestions for a good watch?

Lovers of the Bridgerton series' need to head to Kew Palace in Kew Gardens. From Friday, the wig featured in Netflix's hit 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' is on display - in the rooms where the real Queen Charlotte spent her final months. The fabulous wigs worn in the series are mini stars on their own, being part of a carefully developed look for the character.

Kew Palace was built in 1631 and became a private, domestic home for the royals in the 1720s. It was a refuge for 'mad' King George III during his periods of mental illness and Queen Charlotte died ther
