I Was One Of The 1,617,989 Proud Scots
Story time:
One cold desolate 19th September, in the wee small hours. A disheartened and let down young man (with a tad too much to drink) created a page and shared it with his friends.
After falling asleep, he awakened to find, he had 20,000 new friends. (Who'd a thunk?!)
Some pointed out the grammatical error of his drunken named page. So, doing the right thing, he tried, unsuccessfully, to change it himself.
Undeterred, he contacted the developers of this magnificent app - only to be told, because he had "over 900 members" this could not be done.
However during these questions, queries(and a few more questions about the name on the page to be fair). The number of members increased to 50,000.
Ever increasing to today's total of 57,000.
More people concentrating on the content, rather than the error.
So it may be wrong, but it appears to be catchy! At least 57,000 people think so.
Hope this answers your question's about the name, And you continue to enjoy the content, more than the name.
