In our latest episode we speak to top British tennis coach, Justin Sherring!

Justin has had the distinction of bringing through some of the brightest young tennis players of British tennis’ current golden generation, including Jack Draper, Johanna Konta, and former doubles World Number 1 Joe Salisbury.

Justin is currently working with Salisbury on the ATP tour and took some time to chat to Dan about how he’s developed some of the best British players of the past 15 years.

Justin shares his coaching philosophies, including the importance of learning how to bring the best out of your player, and tells lots of stories along the way - including talking himself onto court with our Episode #100 guest, the late great Nick Bollettieri!

We love reuniting with CTC guests! Our host Daniel Kiernan is currently over in Melbourne 🇦🇺 supporting Gaby Dabrowksi and Erin Routliffe as they prepare for their first round match of the Australian Open tomorrow. While cheering on Jack Draper (Episode #166 guest) in his nail-biting first round match, Dan bumped into Jack’s coach James Trotman ( #29) and Ian Barclay ( #21). 🔥

Welcome to our second CTC Podcast Short with former Top 5 doubles-player-turned-Davis-Cup-captain Tom Gullikson.

This Short is taken from Episode 110 of Control the Controllables, and in this clip, Tom movingly recounts how two great rivals of the game became friends in the face of his brother Tim’s worsening health at the Australian Open, 1996, to show their support. An incredible display of sportsmanship.

On Episode #114 of the CTC Podcast, Iga - aged 19 - discussed her future career after claiming her first French Open title. Since then, the WTA World No. 1 has gone on to win multiple titles, including 2 further French Opens, a US Open title, and the recent WTA Finals. 🏆
