Richard Parry started his career as a war cameraman, producer and director, and continued covering
conflicts for twenty years. He directed and wrote the movie SOUTH WEST NINE in 2001: and was nominated for a BAFTA (Carl Foreman award for outstanding debut by a writer/ director). He has directed and write four feature films including the iconic Brixton movie SW9, the horror film A NIGHT IN THE WOODS (Vertigo Films, Tribeca Films), the groundbreaking movie BASE (Vertigo Films, Amazon Prime, 2017) and is now finishing the thriller CRY ME RIVER for Secret Channel Films. Awards and Nominations – British Academy Film and Television Art (BAFTA), five British Independent Film Awards (BIFFAs), winning an Independent Eye Award, Ron Tibbett Award at Indie Memphis, Best Film at the Dutch Mountain Festival, Best New European Director at Orense International Film Festival amongst others.
