Moment fake workmen blow up cable
This is the moment a gang blew up a cable as they tried to splice electricity into an Albanian-run cannabis farm.
The 10-strong gang, who posed as legitimate groundworkers for a business called Elev8 Civils and Utilities Ltd, dug up roads and pathways to access the electrical cables.
They operated in plain sight, wearing high visibility clothing and used signage to close roads, making it appear as though they were conducting legitimate work in broad daylight. But despite appearances, their work was crude and sometimes dangerous - as this footage given to the ECHO by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) shows.
