Waterproof Media is a company managed by Richard Stevenson specialising in underwater filming and photography services.

Waterproof Media operate as a specialist underwater company involved in underwater filming, marine co-ordination and boat supply. Known previously as Diving and Marine Solutions, we have recently changed the company name to reflect our focus on the TV and Film industries that require support on or under the water

This is one of our RED Digital Cinema DSMC3 Raptor Polecam systems for either hand held or boat mounted operations.

Our first Polecam was built in 2015 for BBC Blue Planet 2 and since then we’ve been refining the product as camera technology progresses

Our current system features camera and lens control from the surface with a quick release system that allows for instant deployment and recovery

The green light shows the housing is pressurised and dry and this can be seen from the surface for confidence inspiring polecam shooting

Get Repost App • Mark Sharman Cinematography 🎥 🌊 It wasn’t at a NASA training facility, nor were any astronauts involved, but myself and Roger Munns went through our Blackmagic Design and Gates Underwater Products Cine Immersive training last week in Vobster Quay inland dive site in the UK… Can’t beat it!

Thanks to Richard Stevenson of Waterproof Media Ltd and Dave Blackham for pulling together and delivering the training for us under special circumstances, very much appreciated!

It was great to finally get my hands on this exciting new tech, looking forward to getting stuck into the world of underwater 3D and 2D immersive storytelling… Watch this space…

It’s rare to meet and work alongside a fellow underwater cameraman, but it was an honour to buddy Roger on his first ever (and perhaps only!) UK dive, hope you’ve warmed up a bit Roger!

Thanks to Blackmagic Design for the loan of the camera to allow this to happen, looking forward to working with this kit more and to seeing the results on an apple Vision Pro soon.

Our .underwater RCH camera housing is now available in Malta through

The housing takes all the ARRI cameras plus Sony Venice and Red DSMC3 bodies. Camera control is from the surface down 30m long cables for power, lens / camera control and picture to surface
