Confidence is overrated
Forgive me if that sounds clickbaity but I stand by it.
If everyone here waited until they felt 100% confident - there’d be a lot less conversation, far fewer sales and businesses being born.
Every day I speak to another woman business owner who tells me she doesn’t know what she has to say on her socials or on her email list.
I hear this question all the time:
👉 “Who would want to hear from me?”
Answer:
Your ideal client, that’s who. Those who are in desperate need of your expertise… or the joy, reassurance or peace of mind that your product can offer.
I hear this frustration all the time:
👉 “I work from home and my personal life is quite boring”
Answer:
Nobody is boring. That’s completely subjective. And you’re forgetting that as humans, we’re quite nosey! Your ideal customer needs to get to know the real you. For example, if what you’re selling is a sense of calm or clarity - your audience isn’t looking for a bungee-jumping adrenaline junkie.
But I do want you to approach your content marketing like you would bungee jumping:
Feel the fear but doit anyway.
The more you show up, the easier it gets.
Instead of striving for confidence, aim for curiosity.
It’ll help you test your messaging, find your voice and communicate with authenticity.
Which in turn helps you attract the people who are right for you and your business.

THEN you can repurpose that story into the most suitable formats based on the content itself.
