Books Monthly began life in July 1998 as a short story magazine called Fantazone. In August I persuaded one of the UK’s top publishers to send me a book to review, and after that other publishers followed suit and the book reviews sort of took over the magazine. Now in its 22nd year, and with regular books from Harper Collins, Hodder & Stoughton, Macmillan, Pan, Girls Gone By, Dorling Kindersley, Alma Books, Bloomsbury, Octopus, Pen and Sword etc., etc., Books Monthly is probably the longest-running book review magazine on the web...
