Look out DJs...UNITED DJ RADIO is now playing DMC mixes created over 4 decades. I play quite a lot between 3-5pm Monday - Friday and Pete Roberst cuts to the groove 1am - 3am Friday and Saturday night and has a four hour marathon every Saturday night from midnight, We have promoted the every facet of DJ production and performances from radio to turntablism to mixing and remix productions. ALWAYS WITH THE DJ's ALWAYS PORTRAYING THE ART OF THE DJ.

Beat Magazine in the UK asked me to pose with an important record in my life. Here it is. My mixing show on Radio Luxembourg had becone so popular, K-Tel let me programme and mix the world's first publicly released DJ MIX album. Alan Coulthard and I worked hard to mix some fabulous dance tracks from reel to reel tape but we managed to do so. It was 1982 just a few months before, after 16 years, I resigned my job as Programme & Promotions Director of Radio Luxembourg to launch the Disco Mix Club. We sent a free cassette sampler to every DJ in the UK and parts of europe and then with a couple of hundred members out came our first edition in February 1983. Accompanying the mixes and preview tracks was a 16 page black and white magazine which I called Mixmag.
After a couple of years we released other Mix compilations including 60's Mix which went double platinum. For the first time ever we are now featuring DMC's amazing library of mixes on uniteddj.com (get the United DJ RADIO Ap and join the thousands of fans now enjoying the return of exciting, fun filled, personality DJ's with music freedom streaming into their lives 24/7.
For the first time in 34 years I am once again programming mixes to radio. 208 was the first to do so and UDJ is the first in the modern era.

DMC was launched in February 1983 (see History of DJ Episodes 1 & 2). Three years later we finally ventured forth into the USA and the editorial of the time in our Mixmag magazine said it all. We'll be 34 years at it on Feb 1st 2017, a ride that never ends on an ever changing tide of trends. Some of our supporters and DJ competitors weren't even born then and we hope our historic film documentaries will reveal to you the exciting and challenging journey your predecessors have been on.
