Sarah and I are so grateful and lucky to of had an incredibly talented bunch of artists working with us on the show. Our team spanned across the globe, from the UK and Europe to local crew in Canada and the US. Big thanks to Prosthetics Supervisor and our BGFX team who were in Alberta for 12 months.

TLOU has been a brilliant experience, with the journey continuing as we speak with season 2 now filming. We are forever grateful to and for giving us this opportunity and welcoming us to the family.

Doctor Strange in the Mulitverse of Madness (2022)
Here’s a side by side comparison to show the marriage of practical and digital effects for the Evil Strange character played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
We worked closely with Production Visual Effects Supervisor Janek Sirrs to create a prosthetic makeup for VFX to augment and create negative space in post production.
I think the best results are sometimes a blend of the two departments.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all our friends and family who joined us last night in celebrating 10 years of our little company, the wrap on our latest project and my big 5,0.
Sarah and I were super overwhelmed with all the joy and love and we have so many great memories of a wonderful night. Thank you too for all your generosity and beautiful gifts.
Looking forward to seeing where the next chapter takes us!

A little shout out and appreciation post to my amazing wifey and bestest mate
We’ve been together 15 years this year. We’re incredibly fortunate to have a gorgeous Daughter and to be running our own company and to have been part of some incredible projects with the most hard working and talented artists in Makeup Effects today.
I would not be anywhere without Sarah, the motor and brains behind BGFX.

An early test we did for Miss Trunchbull on the incredible Emma Thompson for
This was chin and jaw pieces only, which I later re sculpted and joined together as one appliance. The final makeup also included a nose and ears.
Emma was such a pleasure to work with and made the makeup process so enjoyable. and handled prosthetic application each day, with looking after straight makeup and hair. Super grateful to for getting us involved.

Matilda the Musical is out today in UK cinemas!
Here I am sculpting the Miss Trunchbull prosthetics for Emma Thompson.
The character went through several iterations with pieces. This was the first pass with a forehead, nose and jaw pieces.
