There's one week to go until our WSC Live event at South Shields FC on Thursday June 16 at 7pm, where host Daniel Gray will be joined by author of The Farther Corner, Harry Pearson, and WSC editor Andy Lyons for a night of half-decent football chat.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved, ask questions of the panel, get books signed and share your own football experiences and memories with the team, as well as see the touring WSC Photos exhibition, showcasing some of the best images from the magazine’s team of photographers.

As if that isn’t enough, there will be stalls from WSC and South Shields FC, and the bar will be open. It’s the perfect combination for an evening of light entertainment and topical football conversation.

We'd love to see you there – for more info and tickets, see the link below 👇

Episode 62 of the WSC podcast is out now!

In this exclusive WSC Supporters’ Club edition of the podcast, magazine editor Andy Lyons, writer Harry Pearson and host Daniel Gray shake off a bemusing Emile Heskey experience in the Darlington multiverse to discuss Notable Club Owners from the Golden Tit of Wolverhampton to Les Scadding of Newport. Record Breakers brings a lullaby from Lørenskog, and we continue our sprightly feature, The Final Third, in which a guest contributes a match, a player and an object to the WSC Museum of Football. Joining Dan as our visiting curator this time is Anthony Bunn from Stoke City’s Duck magazine.

In the extended edition there's Horatio news, plus talk of towns where football isn’t popular, best and worst last days, football relatives who’ve served you food and olden days football figures we wish had been on Twitter.

The only way to hear this episode is by joining the WSC Supporters' Club on Patreon from £2 a month – as well as a bonus episode every month, members get exclusive merchandise rewards, discounts on WSC Live events and more

Listen free to episode 61 of the WSC podcast!

Avoiding a ticking off from a kid in a referee’s kit, magazine editor Andy Lyons, writer Harry Pearson and host Daniel Gray discuss Unexpected Promotions and Relegations, from Torquay United dog bites to Eddie Large the dugout Jonah via Wiggy Threlfall’s Morecambe and Don Scrimgeour MacKay’s Coventry. WSC Deputy Editor Tom Hocking talks us through the pages of magazine edition 421 and Record Breakers brings Grecian glamour. We continue our rapidly maturing feature, The Final Third, in which a guest contributes a match, a player and an object to the WSC Museum of Football.
