October 26th is Intersex Awareness Day. The day was founded in 2004 to celebrate those who identify as Intersex and highlight the issues faced by Intersex people.

Intersex is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male. Intersex people often suffer stigma and discrimination as a result.

Today is National Coming Out Day 🏳️‍🌈 It’s a day to raise awareness of the challenges LGBT+ people still face and an opportunity to share our own stories. We should all feel like we can live authentically and be our true self in every part of our lives, everyday!

Did you know that 36% of LGBT people at work in Scotland have hidden their identity because they were afraid of discrimination; a figure that rises to over half, 58%, of transgender people (Stonewall Scotland).
