In celebration of Pride month, at the Boathouse next week, there are screenings of two beautiful q***r films, that also happened to be proudly filmed in the borough!
Wednesday 26th June 6.30pm Special preview screening of Unicorns (15):
The story of a q***r South Asian nightclub performer living a double life, and a young, single father who works as a mechanic. When they meet, a search for identity is sparked.
This is a special preview screening (the film is publicly launched in cinemas on 5th July), and will be followed by a Question & Answer session with Director Sally el Hosaini ( The Swimmers, My Brother the Devil) and writer/Director James Krishna Floyd

Thursday 27th June 7.15pm screening of Silver Haze (15):
Fifteen years after she got burnt when the pub where she slept as a child caught fire, Franky (23) seeks revenge because she still hasn't found any answers.
Sacha Polak's captivating and intimately crafted drama delivers a powerful and emotionally charged depiction of working-class life in Britain.
The film is based on a true story from the borough, and the screening will be followed by a Question & Answer session with lead actor Vicky Knight (Dirty God)
