NEWS ROUND-UP 🗣

In case you missed any of our recent posts, here's a summary of what's been happening lately:

🎵 We've announced two autumn concerts! Save the date for our Birmingham concert on 14th October and Bristol concert on 11th November. More details to follow soon.

🎉 We've been celebrating new funding, including support for the youth music strand of Red Tangent Records from Youth Music and an award from The National Lottery Community Fund to grow our work in women's prisons over the next three years.

📚 We received a fantastic report on our 'Young Voices' programme from experienced researcher Alexandra Russell. She concluded: "Young Voices should be seriously considered a key part of educational provision for Pupil Referral Units, Secure Children’s Homes, and Young Offender Institutions."

We're delighted to announce that Youth Music is supporting the new Youth Artists strand of our lived experience record label Red Tangent Records 💿

This will help to nurture talented young musicians who've been in prison and face additional barriers to developing their craft and career.

Youth Music's support helps to match funding from the Lightbulb Trust, and we are thrilled to be partnering with these innovative funders.

Watch this space for exciting updates about the young musicians we are working with thanks to this funding, and give Red Tangent Records a follow too!

(This project is backed by Youth Music, thanks to National Lottery Good Causes via Arts Council England).

Hey music lovers! We have an exciting announcement and a heartfelt thank you to share with you. As a record label, we strive to uplift and amplify the voices of unique artists.

Yesterday, we had an amazing meeting where we brainstormed strategies to create opportunities for these talented individuals. We were incredibly fortunate as DBS Institute graciously provided us with a space to use. Their support means the world to us and speaks to their dedication to positive change.
