Who is the author of this unique of Burdah of Ahl Al-Bayt?

Extracts have been taken from a detailed biography from website. A portal dedicated to the works of the noble Shaykh رضي الله عنه Allah bless them.

His birth – may Allah be pleased with him:

Our shaykh, may Allah be pleased with him, was born in the town of Dongola in Sudan, on the 15th of Jumada al-Thani 1328 A.H. (the 24th of June, 1910). There he memorized the noble Qur’an at its ancient mosque and excelled at it. Then he went to Egypt to study at the Azhar and there he contacted his relatives who lived in al-Salmiyya village near Luxor.

His noble descent:

He is the descendant of as-sayyid Ali al-Hadi, bin as-sayyid Muhammad al-Jawad, bin as-sayyid Ali ar-Rida, bin as-sayyid Musa al-Kadhim, bin as-sayyid Ja’far as-Sadiq, bin as-sayyid Muhammad al-Baqir, bin as-sayyid al-imam Ali Zayn al-Abidin, bin mawlana al-imam al-Husayn, bin al-imam Ali the husband of the pure lady sayyida Fatima al-Zahraa, the daughter of our Prophet sayyidna Muhammad, the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family.

We wanted this to be more than a book, we wanted it to be a piece of art.

We commissioned 6 original art works for this book. 5 of them are names of the Ahl Al-Kisa found after some of the chapters.

Here is a little glimpse into the work.

Allah's Messenger declared, ❝I bequeath unto you two precious legacies: the Book of Allah, a beacon of guidance and light...and my Family.❞¹

This extraordinary ode by Shaykh Salih al-Jafari dedicated to the Ahl al-Bayt goes beyond being just a poem of praise—it is a literary encyclopedia. With a masterful brush, the Shaykh paints a vivid portrait of the Prophet's cherished Family, capturing their uniqueness, their sacrifices for Islam, the importance of loving, and their timeless legacy of serving Allah.

This translation includes notes that shed light on the historical events alluded to in the poem, biographical notices, and full vowel markers in the Arabic text. You can sing it to the any tune of Qasida Burda. 😄

21st of Ramadan marks the passing away of the lion of God, the flag bearer of Khabar, the door to the city of knowledge, the father of the masters of the youth of Jannah, the leader of the Gnostics, his love a sign of paradise, the Prince of Believers, our Liege Lord Ali ibn Abu Talib may Allah brighten and illuminate his noble face. Upon him and his household be countless salaams.

Mawla Ali: “By Him Who split up the seed and created something living, the Messenger of Allah (‎ﷺ ) gave me a promise that no one but a believer would love me, and none but a hypocrite would nurse grudge against me”
