Welcome to the Pookout Records bucket list release!
As metal fans who play ska, it is a dream come true to have so many of our friends and heroes thrash, shred and headbang their way onto this album.

11 bands make up the 11 heavy covers comprising of The Su***de Machines, Sonic Boom Six, ACiD CLAW, Andy B and The World, Redeemon, Roshambo, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Hans Gruber and the Die Hards Dissidente / Диссиденты, C-7: and Me Me Me Now Now Now

Here you'll find the best of ska from both sides of the pond playing the best of metal from the last 50 years and having some serious bloody fun while doing it!

Gutted to have to say our first Pookout Weekender with Redeemon, Roshambo and Andy B and The World is CANCELLED thanks to at least one (and as many as three) members of each band testing positive for Covid after Random Hand tour and Handfest together this weekend!

Huge gratitude to Redrum and Parish for their understanding and already starting planning on some new rescheduled dates.

If you were thinking of coming out to one of these shows may we humbly suggest you spend those pennies on the new Random Hand record instead - we'll all be listening to it from our sick beds!

UPDATE!!!!

It's been a mad couple of months here at Pookingham Palace what with summer festivals and tours going on.
Finally sat down and added a butt load of new stuff to the store - we've got some Bad Time Records releases here for the first time like J. Navarro & the Traitors and the awesome charity flexi from Catbite and Brian Fallon, as well as new variants of some old favourites!

For those of you asking for CDs we've made a start on those too with offerings from Kill Lincoln and We Are The Union.

And we're super stoked to welcome our friends at TNSrecords - we wouldn't be a very good ska distro if we didn't stock some Harijan, Stand Out Riot and Faintest Idea. Don't tell them though, we don't want them thinking we like them 😉

If that wasn't enough there's a couple of real treats on there that you may not have heard before - some that we've been loving this summer. Grab some Cartoon Violence or The Indecision before the sun disappears completely!

A year ago today we released the record that we had been most excited for since starting Pookout.
Moscow skacore vets Glory Hunters are one of our favourite bands, one of the most hard working, the most passionate and the most deserving of having this record heard.

With the vinyl pressed and ready for release date, Vladimir Putin's government invaded Ukraine and our hopes of being able to promote the album internationally and to success were immediately stamped on.
All communications to Russia were shut down and we couldn't contact Glory Hunters. Russian music streaming services were halted and to this day there is still no safe way to ship the vinyl out to the band.

Despite all of this we went ahead with the release. Our friends, who have risked thier lives to actively oppose the Russian governent have faced an almost demolished touring schedule and harrowing racial abuse.

Still, this record taught us the most important lessons we have learned so far, and reminded us that however much money we might lose, we always want our label to represent justice, equality, friendship and really fu***ng good skacore.
It has the most integrity, and for that it will always have a special place on our deck.
