This festive season Doncaster Council will once again be supporting City Centre businesses by offering free city centre parking from Friday 2nd December - Friday 6th January 2023 from 2pm at:

🚗Markets Car Park
🚗St Georges Car Park
🚗Colonnades Underground Car Park

We are also offering every Saturday in December free all day parking at Chappell Drive Car Park.

Just a reminder that Council run car parks and on-street pay and display areas continue to be free on Sundays.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Want to keep busy in your spare time whilst also doing something positive?

Knowledge pool is looking for volunteers to help teach IT based sessions around Doncaster. We are happy to take on board individuals who want to help better themselves and their community.

Volunteers with a knowledge of IT would be perfect however we can provide training for those who don’t necessarily have the skill set but want to be a part of our journey to help Doncaster and its citizens get to know technology.

You will be working with individuals who are 18+ and need help with anything from learning how to use the device (such as turning it on/off) to using software and applications (such as MS Office 365). Classes may include teaching participants how to use computers, tablets and smartphones.

Eligible candidates who would be patient, polite and dedicated. Sessions will be an hour long and will take place once a week, every week.

(All travels costs will be covered/reimbursed, and volunteers are subject to a DBS check)

Hi everyone. My name is Yetunde Elebuibon I am your neighbour on Wheatley Hall Road. I have been knocking on doors introducing myself and talking about why I am standing as a councillor under the Labour Party for this upcoming By-election.
I have been a resident since 2007 but my first point of call in Doncaster was this ward. I came to Doncaster for the first time in 2005 for a job interview at the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital. I worked for the NHS trust for 13 years. Currently I still work for the NHSE under the Primary Care Support England (PCSE). I run an organisation that provides trainings and digital resources like tablets, smartphones, internet credits, guide books etc for people in our community who are not familiar with IT or who can not afford it. People like Pensioners, low income earners, the elderly etc. This organisation has supported over 700 people.
My children are schooling locally and I understand the issues facing our community. That is why I have been working with our local councillor Emma Muddiman-Rawlins to bring back the Wheatley library. I understand the issues we are having with antisocial behaviour and will work with the police and you; my neighbours to crack it. I pledge to improve our road network, improve the security in our community. I will work with schools to improve the outcome of our post 16 school leavers and support businesses to bounce back from the impact of the pandemic. You will receive my pledge letter soon. I am seeking your support to serve you. I want you to come out on March the 31st of vote for me. Vote for Labour. Let’s build this community together. Thank you.
