was inspired to purchase his first typewriter back in 2014 and has never looked back since!

He has produced over 150 typewritten drawings (or typictions) and has amassed a collection of 35 typewriters - many of which are donated by fans and admirers from around the world!

James’ background was in architecture so it made sense for him to start by drawing buildings. However, as his skills progressed, he expanded his repertoire to include a whole host of subjects; people, pets, skylines, even Christmas cards!

You can buy prints and originals of the artwork from James’ website which is accessible through his Instagram page

Laurence Westgaph runs the Liverpool and Slavery history group.

It is a safe space for robust discussion of Liverpool’s role in slavery and the slave trade.

Unfortunately, many history groups refuse to acknowledge discussion on this subject, or when they do, debate declines into abusive argument.

Laurence is using his platform and years of experience and research to share his knowledge and encourage respectful discourse.

You can join in with the discussion in the Facebook group - Liverpool and Slavery - which now has over 7.6K members.

Andrea, founder of B4 Biodiversity, set up the Bee Workers to Key Workers campaign when she noticed the tired and dry skin of Liverpool’s key workers as a result of all the PPE they have to wear.

Check out our Instagram and tag

Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/indepthstories_/

She really wanted to help in some way, but didn’t know how.

Having spent months developing a Liverpool Bee Balm, she realised she could use her product to help Liverpool’s key workers.

All her ingredients are 100% natural, and it’s the beeswax which Andrea harvests from her beehives all around Liverpool that ties the balm back to the city.

Whilst Andrea runs the project, she couldn’t have done it without the help of the hundreds of thousands of worker bees in her hives (which are all female!)

They are the nurse bees, protectors, foragers and handywomen that ensure the survival and future of their colonies.

This made Andrea think of her own city and how, by pulling together, Liverpool can, and does, get through anything together.

And so Bee Workers to Key Workers was formed!

So far Andrea has delivered hundreds of balms to key workers all over the city. And has recently started selling the product too with 10% of the sales going towards sustaining the campaign.

Andrea also works closely with a number of community gardens and apiaries in the area, as well as Blackburne House to deliver beekeeping training to young people.

(I can vouch for her honey too, it’s really, really good!)

Trick TJ is a martial arts tricker based in south London.

He started tricking just over a year ago which is almost unbelievable considering how good he is now.

TJ is best known for the insane height he is able to generate from the spring floor, along with his no fear approach to his tricks.

In a sport where failure normally leads to serious injury, the biggest obstacle he had to overcome in his development was the mental aspect. Once he learnt to completely commit to his tricks, he was able to do anything he wanted.

TJ trains at the East London Gymnastics Centre with some of the best martial arts trickers in the country. The community they have built is the ideal place to perfect his tricks and learn new moves from friends.

We can’t wait to see how good he can be after another year of training! đŸ€žđŸżâ€â™‚ïž

Shankari Raj is the lead architect behind the project aiming to revive Eastville Park’s disused swimming pool.

It’s been almost 100 years since the lido was actually used for swimming, and now a team of local architects are planning to rebuild the site.

After extensive research, the group, led by Shanks, discovered that the most popular opinion was to reinstate the old swimming baths for community-use as a way to promote health and well-being and create community-cohesion.

The space has had its uses down the years. It was most recently used as a stage for a portrayal of Romeo and Juliet.

Now it’s mostly used as a quiet spot to train and relax by a handful of locals.

Shanks plans to introduce different spaces in the park for these activities so that the lido can be used for swimming once again.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this project develops!

George Clarke runs the Cycle Path Gallery - .cyclepathgallery (Instagram)

He collects amazing artwork from local artists and gives it a space to be appreciated and loved.

The gallery is open to all and attracts visitors from all walks of life. Anyone that has been down the Bristol to Bath cycle path knows that some of the areas are a bit run-down and in need of some work.

So like George says, the gallery makes an otherwise neglected spot into something more.

If you want to check it out, you can find the gallery situated on the cycle path between Easton and Fishponds, about 5 minutes walk from The Star pub (BS16 3AF).

Thank you to all the amazing artists featured in this video, and also to George for bringing it all together in such an incredible way.
