I let my little boy sit and play with a tampon this morning (an in-used one obviously) just because it kept him quiet 🤫

This is the biggest thing that helped me through mental health struggles after the birth of my son.

My calling - “Midwife” definition- ‘With Woman’ 🤲🏼

I’ve worked as an NHS midwife for 4 years now, it’s something I’m incredibly proud of and feel soo lucky to be able to say I found my calling in life. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to witness the most incredible times in peoples lives, but also some very dark times. During both of these experiences, I have found myself in awe and incredibly humbled by what a woman can go through ❤️

I get to witness the power, courage and strength that all women hold inside them 💪🏼 feeling so grateful 🙏🏼

Recorded my first ever podcast that will be out in the next couple of weeks 🎙😁

I caught up with and talked all things pregnancy, birth and building a successful business whilst navigating motherhood! Absolute Mama Boss!!

Hanna didn’t have the most straight forward of pregnancies, she underwent a CVS and induction of labour and talks about how this feeling of lack of control effected her overall experience.

Whilst navigating early motherhood, Hanna realised she no longer wanted to work her usual shift pattern and instead built a successful virtual management company. This became so successful in just 6 months, she now works with companies all across the globe!! 🌎

I can’t wait for you all to listen in and hopefully find a sense of inspiration and empowerment. Because we’re all in this together 🤱🏻🤱🏼🤱🏾

Motherhood is HARD, it’s ok to fall apart. It’s ok to admit that you are struggling. Raising children takes a village and it’s so important to surround yourself with people who will help you ‘get back up again’.

I’ve taken time to myself over the last few months. Becoming a single Mama, returning to work, navigating motherhood 🙈 it’s been hard!

🌼Has someone you know just had a baby? 🌼 Mamas tend to get forgotten about when they receive gifts following the birth of their baby. They need to be nourished, empowered and reminded that they have totally got this! Taking time to spray your pillow with the Recover and Rest Pillow Spray by , have a soak in the bath with the Calm almond Bath Salts and sipping on a Wake Up Brew is such an incredibly important reminder of self care that can support the postnatal period and improve mental health.

🌼 It’s ok to admit you are not ok 🌼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is something that rings really true for me at the moment. I’ve gained some strength, but in that I am seeing things more clearly and realising I am not ok. Motherhood is incredible hard, you NEED people around you who are able to pick you up entirely when you need it. If you don’t have that you realise how vulnerable you are and that YOU are the only person you can rely on.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s so important to be reminded that IT IS OK. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🌼 Hello, to all my new followers! 🌼 I thought I’d re-introduce myself. My name is Beth and I’m a midwife and mum. I gave birth to my son in July 2020 and experienced a traumatic birth. This, alongside past trauma, contributed to the decline in my mental health. I had months of suicidal thoughts and wishes. Feelings of not being good enough for my family. Loneliness. When I began to recover on medication I promised myself that this horrendous time won’t be for nothing, and that I will use it to raise awareness of mental health and bring Mamas together. The last year has been desperately lonely for everyone, but for mother’s it has stripped us of the usual connections that are built throughout our journey in to motherhood. I’d love to share a community of Mamas who can help empower each other and normalise the daily struggles. Thank you so much for joining me … I know that I am not alone, please share this post so that others can be educated, empowered and supported 💜
