Studio 40 is an RIBA Chartered architect's practice based in Essex, combining experience with fresh thinking and a wide-ranging skillset.

We worked on a video and photography project with them recently entitled 'New House to Family Home', giving a grand designs style overview of a brand new property in Billericay and took an in-depth look at some of the concepts and ideas that went into creating this beautiful new home.

Working with Blue Serif who put together the branding and design for Brentwood Orthodontic Centre's new look, as well as Eseyo Web Design who built the new site, we were asked to provide a selection of types of photos to be used for the new look and future marketing materials.

This included Formal and fun headshots, as well as full team shots. and lots of shots of the staff busy in all aspects of their work from the dentists and nurses to the managerial and admin team.

The Dream Engine combine Science, Art and Circus to create unique and unusual performance installations at events all around the world.
I was invited to shoot this show at the Token 2049 expo afterparty in Dubai, and what a location it was sitting right beside the Palm Jumeirah.
The Dream Engine use aerialists suspended beneath huge helium filled balloons to wow their audiences and the aim was to capture this grandeur, the cityscape backdrop and the audience interaction within the photo series.

The amazing team at Blue Serif put on a free workshop today on Making Marketing Work for Charities, to give information and advice to local charities on using branding and media effectively to benefit their causes and help raise donations.

I was absolutely honoured to be invited along to give a presentation on taking better photos and videos, as well as how to focus in on making their digital media as effective as possible, while minimising how much time it takes them to organise and publish it.

The whole event was fantastic, covering areas from effective branding, website analytics, social media management and raising funds from trusts and funds.

Hopefully, we'll be putting on another one early next year so if you are interested give Blue Serif a follow and keep an eye on their pages or drop them a message.

Another fantastic meeting at Essex Business Forum this week. And I managed to walk away with the prize for the 60-second presentation for this highly cheesy attempt at a poem explaining why you need great media content on your websites!

A very Merry Chrismas and Happy New year to all!

Suffolk Pride '22

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited along to shoot Suffolk Pride ‘22 by Alexander Ward (check out www.alexanderward.com) to be part of the creative team capturing this year’s event.

Initially, the intention was to be predominantly flying the drone for the event, capturing aerial stills and video of the march along the waterfront and the stages, but due to some unfortunate miscommunication between the Council and the event organisers it was put in place at the last minute that there wouldn’t be permissions for any drones, so I grabbed the still camera and got to work covering the stalls, DJ tent and crowds.

It was a fantastic opportunity to speak to so many people who turned up on the day (far more than anyone was expecting), and capture people young to old who all came out in support of the Pride gathering.
