J & J Studio Bristol T-Shirt, designed by Charlie Romijn and screen-printed here in Bristol on "Anthracite" Stanley/Stella "Creator" tees with off-white ink.

For those who don't know, J & J Studio is an incredible recording studio here in Bristol, UK.
It's owned by Jim Barr, phenomenal bass player (Get The Blessing / Portishead / Thought Forms!) and producer.

www.jandjstudio.co.uk

Obviously, the studio was unable to operate during the various lockdowns and things are still uncertain, with sessions having been cancelled last minute due to artists self-isolating etc. Although lockdowns are over, the pandemic very much continues to affect self employed people and independently run creative spaces such as this, especially as government support comes to an end.

So if you choose to buy one of these T-Shirts today, you can know you're helping to keep a small independent business going - as well as proudly representing an important piece of Bristol's amazing music scene, wherever you are in the world!

Review of "Closing" in Bull Tongue issue 4 :

Ace review of Charlie's book "Closing" in Bull Tongue issue 4!

"...Just beautiful. The same goes for the first collection of poetry we've seen from Charlie Romijn, who we mostly know as the guitarist for delirious UK psych-noise howitzer known as Thought Forms. She runs a label as well, but we're talking about her poetry here, and hers is deeply personal and elastic without being sentimental. Closing (Lava Thief, 54pp chapbook) is a very cool collection of words and art, with many arresting images in both media. Some of our faves deal with music, at least as a concept but that just speaks to our fetishes. You'll have yr own. Don't fret."

You can pick up a copy of the limited edition riso-print book for a fiver here : https://lavathief.bandcamp.com/merch/charlie-romijn-closing
