From today, 10 June, it is now law for your cat to be microchipped.

The new rules mean cats must be chipped before they reach 20 weeks old, and their contact details must be stored and kept up to date in a pet microchipping database.

All owners must have their cat microchipped by today, and owners found not to have microchipped their cat will have 21 days to do so, or they could face a fine of up to £500.

Your vet will be able to advise you on microchipping.

These two gorgeous kittens (one ginger and one tabby) were abandoned outside with their mum and siblings. (Very sadly, the siblings were found to be dead when we collected them.) They are currently five weeks old, and will be looking for their forever home together in approximately three weeks time.

They enjoy being picked up and cuddled as well as being played with. They are suitable as indoor only cats, or once they are big enough to be neutered, they could experience the outdoors too. They would be happy around other animals and can live with children over the age of five. They are looking for a home where they will be loved and played with frequently.

Hazlemere smoke: Bellway Homes gives update on waste

The contaminated waste, which the housing developer says was fly-tipped, is expected to be cleared from Friday, May 23 until Monday, June 3.

Wycombe man named and charged in recent crossbow shooting

Jason King, 54, of School Close, Downley, was apprehended in the evening of Friday, May 10, following a ‘serious incident’ in the village.
