Welcome to the new era of Details Magazine!

I started Details Magazine when I was in my second year of college overseas. I sat down with my new course leader to chat/officially meet. She asked me about my goals... "I want to start a magazine to inspire young women. It's always been my dream." Without hesitation, she looked into my eyes and said, "Do it." I kid you not, that night I began creating Details Magazine from scratch. Having the opportunity to look back on our first issue (December 1st, 2020) to our most recent (December 2022) is such a blessing. I can see so much personal growth and so much growth within Details itself. This is something I am immensely proud of.

This new era of Details Magazine is representing a time of consistent growth and allowing Details to bloom into a multiplatform editorial. With the help of my incredible staffers, who I have been so blessed to meet and work with, I hope to provide tons of inspiring and encouraging content for young women. I envision an audience that motivates us, articles, photography, videos, and the podcast blooming.

I believe in us. We are powerful, beautiful, strong, and brave! Let's make this era a damn good one!

Let's talk. Why blue? What's so special about the color blue and how the hell does it relate to the November issue? The truth is we chose blue for the theme of the November issue to highlight the reality of Seasonal Affective Disorder the beginning of the blue season and to take a blue in it's raw beauty and expand on its many interpretations. This issue covers so many topics that the color blue can be interpreted as. As the Winter months start to roll around we understand that feeling blue is going to become more common. It feels darker and our sense of Seasonal Affective Disorder grows stronger. But so do we. We wanted this issue to reflect the importance of caring for yourself within these Winter months and how blue doesn't always have to be bad. It doesn't always have to be scary or dark. Blue can be beautiful. Blue can represent peace. Blue can represent love. And blue can be quite powerful. So in this issue we cover love, peace, SAD, gender roles, ethical fashion and ocean conservation.

Meet our team!
Hi guys! I'm Annie I'm 22 and have graduated university in October 2021, with a degree in Creative Writing. I have had a YouTube channel called Life With Annie since I was about 16 years old where I post occasionally. I also streamed on Twitch under DangerDoll26 for a while. I haven't posted/streamed in a while since starting my first real job post-university, but hope to get back into it soon. I have always been passionate about reading and writing, and am very grateful for Caitlyn to give me this opportunity of not only writing for the magazine, but also for giving me my own Advice With Annie column.
After finishing my Creative Writing degree, I moved back to Birmingham where I am living with my mom and two brothers, while also looking after my two cats and a dog. Working as a waitress, I hope to save up enough money to get a driving license and get my own place within the next two years if possible. In the meantime, I also hope to grow my YouTube and Twitch channel, to be able to spread positivity.
I find it unfair that as women (of any age, but especially a young age), we are less likely to be considered for a job because of issues such as the company being 'afraid' that we're going to get pregnant and want to take a few months of maternity leave as soon as we start a job. The reality is that nowadays women are waiting longer to get married and have children, with a lot of modern women not having children until they're 30 years old.
I am very much writing/social media motivated, and I would love for one day to be a full time journalist for a magazine (bonus points if it's Details!) while also being able to carry on with my filming and streaming hobbies. I can already imagine videos called 'A Day In My Life As A Details Journalist', exciting!

Introducing our Editor-In-Chief!
Hi y’all! I’m Caitlyn! I founded Details when I was a second year student towards the end of 2020 as a way to inspire and educate young women through the things I am most passionate about. The magazine is not only my , but it’s also an extension of me! I have gathered a group of amazingly talented photographers and journalists, but you’ll see my personal photoshoots and articles in the issues, too! After a year of Details Magazine, I created All The Details Podcast where I can just chat with you guys about literally anything. We go in-depth about article topics, relationships, travel, life, and all of the love.
I’m a health and fitness ju**ie, latin dancer at heart, and traveler. I just finished backpacking around Europe, completed my Fashion Marketing degree in Wi******er, UK, and am chilling in Las Vegas (hometown!!) until I move to Hawaii. You could say I jump around the world!
In terms of issues that really get my gears turning and light my fire, I would say the most important ones in my heart are the sexualization of women (young women, specifically) and lack of education throughout the world. I just mean that, being someone who has been sexualized from a young age, it damages a soul, encourages violence, and forces women to put their lives on hold or to live in a fearful way. It becomes terrifying. It’s unacceptable. There is genuinely no reason for a woman to be sexualized for simply existing. The lack of education bit can be taken a few ways; from countries that try to put laws against girls’s education, to the ignorance of people in first world countries. You won’t ever know everything, but you can never be too educated. There’s so many topics that get overlooked, or brushed to the side because ~ ignorance is bliss ~, but this is what damages the world! We should be encouraging education, research, schools, online resources, documentaries, and the effort to learn about things you might be uncomfortable with!
I would love for Details Magazine to be my full time job one day!!

PINK PAGE REVEAL | This Is Wren! Up and coming punk princess with some s**t to say!! Wren, is speaking her truth and growing an army though her powerful voice and bold stories. UK resident, Millie, known professionally as Wren, is a 27 year old full of fire and s***k. As soon as I met her, I knew she was the exact definition of “cool”. Totally cool! Motorcycle-riding, leather-wearing, makeup-slaying, fire- breathing, cool. I worked with her for a short time at a local cafe when I soon came to discover her passion for music.

I know I know, it’s a bit extreme. But honestly, it’s the truth. The longer we spend worrying about what other people think of us and overthinking our actions – the more time we waste.
But what if I fail?
What if they don’t like me back? What if I never find someone better? YOU HAVE TO GO FOR IT, OR ELSE YOU WILL NEVER KNOW.
The minute you move away from negative self-doubt and start moving towards not giving a f**k, you will thrive.
First of all, a bit of a disclaimer... when I say, ‘don’t give a f**k’, I don’t mean completely disregard everything and everyone around you. I am instead referring to the art of not caring, in a positive way… Whether it be a job, a relationship, or a friendship, doing something that lights up your soul and keeps your interests and passions alive is all that should truly matter.”
