As world leaders assemble at COP27 to demonstrate how they’ve measured up against last year’s goals, The Extreme Hangout will host talks, panel discussions and interactive events that bring people from all over the world together, to explore strategies for sustained progress.
The Extreme Hangout and New York Times Climate Forward event are both located at The Park Regency Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. The Extreme Hangout is a grassroots initiative of FREE live speaker panel sessions, morning Qi-Gong, meditation and breathwork, reef snorkelling and film screenings that will be held over 4 days Nov 8th to 11th at COP27.
Each panel has been carefully curated by The Extreme Hangout and partners, with young people from all over the world participating in every conversation. The stage will host live debates and inspirational discussions from key opinion leaders, youth climate activists, sustainability pioneers, and environmental commentators.

I’m working with the Extreme Hangout team again and this week they are exhibiting at the C40 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This week the senior team are meeting mayors, leaders and changemakers of cities across the globe to discuss partnering on extreme hangout events as we roll out our TEDx style program that is giving youth a voice on environment and driving action to combat climate change.

TODAY people will gather along the North East coastline from 11am to link hands and create a ‘wave motion’ travelling south.
The stunt protest aims to ‘send a clear message to those in power that the blatant killing of our seas, ancient fishing industry and iconic marine creatures must stop.’
Organisers are united in their belief that dredging is behind the deaths – but have also raised concerns about the sewage pouring into British waters.
1.9 million tonnes of toxic sediment is due to to dredged and dumped off our shores to create the Freeport NEXT MONTH!!! ☣️⛴️❌

I went to Ubud on my honeymoon 22 years ago. It was pristine and beautiful. I’m heartbroken 😢 to see this level of awful plastic pollution going on today! But I am heartened that volunteers @sungaiwatch care and are taking action in Ubud 🌊 This is their first cleanup in Gianyar addressing a plastic emergency in one of many plastic filled rivers. I was invited as a speaker today at a conference to mark International Women’s Day with a panel of high-achieving women representing different fields of work. We presented to the 6th form students at Ursuline Girls school to give them encouragement and inspiration.
The theme of International Women’s Day this year is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow". It aims to recognise the contribution of women and girls around the world who are leading the charge on climate change adapation, mitigation and response to build a more sustainable future for all.

Is this is what supermarkets think is helping to reduce plastic? You pledged in 2018 to drastically reduce all unnecessary plastic?
This bag says it’s recyclable in limited places that accept this kind of plastic but let’s be honest, ASDA, that’s pathetic…who actually goes to the trouble to source those specialist bins and actually drops it off there? Just stop bagging things in plastic that don’t need it! Why do we have everything from bananas and onions to potatoes and oranges in plastic bags - even with photos of what’s inside?! We all know only a small fraction of plastic actually ends up recycled.
