Now while this is true, it also helps boost your business if your customers and potential customers can see who is behind the business. It provides a sense of personalism that cannot be achieved with just informative posts & posts of what you offer.

I’ve been slacking…

And that’s ok. I’ve struggled with my mental health so had to take some time out and unfortunately that means that my social channels have missed out.

Running a business isn’t easy 🤦🏻‍♀️ especially doing it alongside a full time job but now that I’ve had time to “collect myself together” I am back.

It’s ok to have time off and as hard as it was to accept this in the beginning now I know that it was the right thing for me.

Starting to resent social media?

It isn’t uncommon for a lot of people to start resenting social media when running their own business. Majority of the resentment stems from not having a routine or steps in place to really help your social media bloom.

We have pulled together our three top tips to help you avoid getting bored when it comes to Social Media!

🤍Have set times for your engagement…

This can be for 15 minutes twice a day or 30 minutes twice a day, it should fit around your schedule however should be before and / or after you have just posted. Having set times ensures that you are still progressing with your social media but there is a lower chance of you getting bored.

🤍Have a Content Calendar…

Although it seems like a time consuming task setting one up, once you are ready to go you will never go back to working without the calendar! As well as being able to check how well your posts are doing, using a calendar also stops you from having to worry about getting content out and repeating it. Once you have planned your content, you’re then in a position to batch make the posts as well as plan & write four captions to save time further down the line.

At Georgia Tonry Marketing, we spend one day a week keeping our calendar up to date and this system works really well to see what we have and haven’t posted and how well our content is doing.

🤍Don’t scroll aimlessly…

Instead of reaching for your phone and just scrolling through posts that let’s face it you probably won’t pay too much attention to, why not set timer and engage some more! There is no such thing as too much engagement and those extra minutes used can really make an impact on your social media accounts.
