We are still working through missed emails, there seems to have been a big problem this year unfortunately. It looks like we have around 70 acts that we have still had no correspondence with. this means you may have not received our email.

We are working thought the list and will be in touch asap.

We should have sent all emails to potential nominees by the end of this week.

We have noticed a number of votes have included incorrect contact details for their chosen act.

Beacuse of this many potential nominees may still not be aware that they are in the running for an award.

For acts who we have had no response from, we will try to contact them via their social media over the coming weeks.

We have had a great response since opening the voting for this year however, we are still painfully low on the following categories.

Please tag a Shropshire act that covers one of they below genres:

Best Rock - 4 acts voted for
Hip Hop/Rap - 2 acts voted for
House - 2 acts voted for
Folk/Country - 2 acts voted for
Best Open Mic Night - 3 events voted for
Best Festival - 2 festivals voted for

*Please bear in mind that some (not all) genres cover producers and DJ's too (for example a Hip Hop DJ could win best Hip Hop as well as a rapper or producer)

3 Category questions for you all:

1 - Should we split certain category's up such as Rock/Metal into their own category's?

2 - Could we add awards such as best drummer or guitarist? (This could be judged by nominees sending in a video of them performing?)

3 - What music awards do you think we are missing for the county of Shropshire? (best event promoter was one we had the other day)

A big question we have is....

- Do we move the awards to A Saturday day time (Say 11.30am - 3.00pm)
- Or keep it on a Thursday evening (Say 6.00 - 10.30pm)

What does everyone think? There's no right or wrong but we would love to get some input.

Telford Theatre is closing for a 2 year refurb at the start of next year.
This leaves The Shropshire Music Awards without a home.

Can we have some suggestions/ideas/comments please?
We are realistically looking at 500 capacity options, but not ruling anything out.
