We post this notice with heavy hearts, but it’s the only safe way ahead. Many, many apologies to all who, like us, were looking forward to a brilliant Tredegar House Folk Festival. But there is light at the end of the tunnel...we’re already planning for a huge festival in 2022 with many of the same great musicians and dancers who were due to perform this year. Stay safe everyone, and be kind to one another.

The Tredegar House Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter competition has a WINNER. She is the amazing Mair Thomas from Oswestry with her gorgeous song At The End Of All Our Days. Our two runners up are Maya, from Llandysul, with her haunting Grace Of Age, and Cardiff’s Andrew Clode with his beautiful Love Come Down. Congratulations to them and thanks, from the bottom of our hearts, to all the entrants, the judges and you, our sensational public, for voting in your thousands and making this competition such a success. With possibly months of uncertainty ahead, and the need to provide some clarity, the Tredegar House Folk Festival in Newport, South Wales, has sadly been CANCELLED for 2020. We’ll be back from May 7-9, 2021 with many of the artists we hoped to bring you this year...including Barbara Dickson, Rusty Shackle, Fara, Alaw and many more - plus dozens of Welsh, UK and international dance teams. All tickets already sold REMAIN VALID for 2021 and ticket holders are being emailed separately. We’re so sorry this has come to pass, but thanks for bearing with us through these troubled times. More info, as we get it, on Facebook and at www.tredegarhousefestival.org.uk. Meanwhile, the winner and runners-up in our singer-songwriter contest will still get their prizes...they’ll just have to wait until 2021 to grace our festival.
