Rushing into a Facebook conversion ad campaign can a costly & unsuccessful venture IF you do not already have robust audiences built out. Why?

Ideally you need to put some ground work in and build your audiences for a few months before hand. Run low cost awareness ads to warm people up about your brand and build trust. Then later when they see a conversion ad they are far more likely to buy from you because they have built up some trust and knowledge about you.

With the limitations now present due to the ISO14 opt-in for Facebook tracking, one of the best audience building strategies is to use data from those who engaged with your brand on platform ie Facebook engagers, Instagram engagers, video views and such. Actions taken off the platform are currently more difficult to track, so it's really sensible to use the robust data we still have at our disposal.

Putting the foundations in place really pays off as once you have found the right engaged people to serve your ads to then your conversions will be cheaper.

Recently I did a day long SEO course. It's not that I want to get into SEO but I realise how important a great website is for a business and that reflects on the performance of Facebook/Instagram ads.

To be able to give my clients some guidance on SEO is really helpful for them and will help their business's visibility.

Elements of your website which will affect your ads performance include:

💥 slow load speed

💥 unclear call to action

💥 poor user experience

💥 outdated information on the website

Does your business use Facebook or Instagram to advertise?

Have you caught wind of panic about the IOS14 update? Widely talked about are the implications of the IOS14 update regarding Apple users opting out, or rather NOT opting in to be served ads.

So a lot of people think that if they don't opt in they won't see ads on Facebook.

🛑 Wrong! 🛑

They will still see ads. The ads they will see will not be targeted ads. I would rather see ads for items or services I'm interested in that see ads for random products.

Facebook and Instagram ads will continue to be effective. Marketers will need to tweak the way they work and part of that is ensuring your ads are compelling, have a great hook and are scroll stopping so that you are getting interest at the top of funnel. Collecting email addresses is also a priority if you want to retarget and build customers lists.

If you have a Business Manager in Facebook there will be prompts to guide you to take certain actions in preparation for the changes. It's important to get the changes sorted in preparation for ads.

The road may be a little rocky but I am confident in the future of Facebook ads.
