A random content idea that came to me driving home late last night that I stayed up way too late putting together. (Anyone else have random creative impulses they have to act on there & then!?)

Anyway - EMPOWER YOURSELF. The reason behind this is to uplift & empower. Kind of self-care but SO motivating.

✨️Take a few minutes, scribble down all of the things you love, literally let it flow, whatever comes to you. Let me know how it makes you feel after? Were there any surprises? Any hobbies you'd forgotten about? Something about your business or your job you'd forgotten you love so much?

Bring back your fire. Find what lights you up. Remind yourself who you are at the core. All the magic & wonder that makes you, you.

You are amazing. You are special.
Own your sh*t. Do more of the things that make you happy. When you do what lights you up, you'll light up those around you.

The right ones that are fuled from what lights you up, what excites you. As soon as we go up in our heads, we overthink things & fear & doubt kick in, usually putting us off, right?

Keeping us still. Keeping us safe.

But who wants to be safe!? Life is for living! Go do the things. Make those brave choices. Trust the butterflies in your belly, make decisions with your feelings, not your head.

Did you know the spiritual importance of September?

Firstly, can you believe we are here!? September 1st! I hope you have all had the most wonderful Summer & are ready for (IMO) the most exciting time of the year!

September marks the Autumn equinox. A time to reflect on all that has passed, all that you have achieved, the places you have been, be grateful for all of it.

September is associated with harvest - to reap what you have sown & prepare for the leaner months ahead.

Set some goals. Reflect on what has gone well or any opportunities missed.
There's a reason school starts in September...

September is the ninth month, the number 9 is considered to be highly spiritual. It symbolises completion, fulfilment, and life cycles (pregnancy lasts for 9months!) It’s seen as a time to close chapters, finish what has been started & prepare for a new beginning.

It really is a special month!

So this morning, I could have saved myself a bit of money & worked from home, BUT supporting a local business, surrounding myself with this buzz, the energy, the kindness from the staff, the happy faces, a chat with a stranger, it all just does something for my productivity that I can't explain.

I think it's all about surrounding yourself with the energy that fuels you. Putting makeup on, making a bit of effort, makes me feel good about myself, more professional than curled up on my sofa in my joggers, getting distracted by the messy toys or the washing...

Being here helps me get my head down, power through my workload & attract abundance. Not being a busy fool. Working on the right things. More conversations = more opportunities.

Step into your boss level self. Be the future you that you want to become. It really does work to envision it is to become it. You've got to feel it first.

Of course, I'm blessed to have the option to work from home or my favourite coffee shop. But I want that for you too! All of you. All you've got to do is holla.

Don’t wait until all of your ducks are in a row. It will never be the right time. Dance extra quick. Take messy action, learn along the way.

You've got this. Jump all in. In life, you really only regret the chances you didn't take!! What's the worst that could happen, you go back to where you are now?? Absolutely nothing wrong with that so why not take a leap of faith.

Reading poolside in Cyprus has me feeling all the feels...

How many times do we worry about the what ifs, concerned things won't go to plan, it will all go wrong, we'll fail? In reality, even the worst case scenario isn't usually that bad, right!? It's all just our subconscious protecting us & tricking us into feeling self-doubt just to keep us safe. Keep us still.

Think of the lessons learned, the new doors opened, the people we meet, the opportunities that follow.

If we just do the thing. Make the change, take the leap. Start having more positive conversations with yourself. Life is too short to stay still, what happens if you do? A hell of a lot more if you don't.

I want to inspire risk takers, dream chasers, the wanderlusters. Find the Joy, embrace it, surround yourself with it & spread it in your path.

I got all of my social media client's content scheduled up until mid August, my website is live with service listings, my first creative workshop has launched & I've already sold 4 tickets ANNNNDD my incredible Brand Reps are covering so I can relax knowing everything is in hand & I smashed my pre holiday goals! 🙌🏼✨️

No idea what I've packed & I almost forgot all underwear BUT we're on our way to the airport & going to make the most amazing memories with our babies. I can't wait.

Here's to anyone else working like a psychopath just to have some downtime knowing no clients will be effective because that is how us freelance bosses roll 😂🤪😅🙌🏼💖

Either surrounded by "business besties" at coworking sessions, from the office or showroom of my clients, at my dining room table, from the sofa, the floor of my kids room, to the garden...

What. A. Day 🙌🏼💖✨️

Being in the presence of 2 incredible business women I respect & admire SO MUCH & is nothing short of inspirational magic.

The energy is empowering! The relatability. The buzz of ideas & empowerment. I'm so glad I had the balls to pull up a chair. & stand up & speak. In life, we only regret the chances we didn't take.

Coming together with other like-minded women & especially a little community that I have brought together is a reminder of why I do what I do. What I enjoy. What brings me joy. Where I want to be.

& now, while sitting on the train so excited about seeing my babies at home, I'm reflecting on what I'm doing it all for. The joy of the balance. The juggle. Why this commuter life is not for me. Being mum is first, always. But juggling being a business boss can coexist.

This month is going to be wiiiild for me as I basically try & do 2 months work in one so that I can have August off.. Wish me luck! I am also starting with a new SMM client tomorrow which I am SO excited about! More meet ups with my babes AND an event where I'll be meeting & !! The kids then break up from school & we go away to Cyprus for a long family holiday so yes - July, let's go!! 🙌🏼

My main answers to this question are always the same:

LUCK. No denying it, being present on social media during lockdown was a massive benefit for a business like mine. BUT, the other reasons which definitely played a huge part are:

✨ ENGAGE, ENGAGE, ENGAGE - Engagement is everything on Instagram. It's what we need to be visible, but we cannot get it if we don't give it. Luckily for me, I have always loved Insta so it came easy to me to be present. Never post & ghost, always comment on your ideal customers content, build relationships with those in your industry. Be SOCIABLE. Get those footprints all over the gram.

✨ GIVEAWAYS bring followers, but choosing the right ones to be involved in are key. You want to attract your ideal customer so they don't unfollow as soon as the competition is over.

✨ I've said it a million times over, Brand Reps are angels. To have a team of cheerleaders that not only love your brand but graft to build your instagram profile up is everything. They engage, they share, they post & tag, talking about you on their own platforms, organically influencing daily.

I've found myself repeatedly quoting & the many others in her team that have said this recently!

I am sure so many of you can relate when I say I am such a perfectionist. The amount of times I move graphics, placements, resize fonts, adjust colours, reword things, honestly it drives me insane.

It really is counter productive as the longer we spend on something, the less likely it even gets published at all, or in a timely manner to make the impacts we're hoping for. Done is always better than not done, right?

Just get it out. People relate to imperfections anyway. Makes us human. Welcome the mistakes, embrace the room for improvement, make a conversation about the fails.

How often do you have conversations that turn into clients/sales/bookings?

People buy from people, so get sociable & nurture your current audience. Stop chasing vanity metrics such as new followers or likes. Invest your energy into what counts.

It is SO important to take these connections OFFLINE too. Create a community that works for you away from the screen as well. Create your own squad of cheerleaders.

I read recently that Branding is what people say about your business when you're not in the room. Let that be something of integrity, built on trust & authenticity. Show up with the realness, the raw, the imperfect, the relatable.

Nobody wants nor expects perfection.

We have our dream clients, ideal customers, a community, a support network & potential new friends at our fingertips. Socialise. Get out there, start conversations, reply to comments. Make connections that count.

Have authentic, real conversations without getting overwhelmed with pressures of creating content, gaining followers, or "going viral." Strip it back. Nurture the followers you already have. You'll be networking without even realising it.
