To all those who have got the Quick Guide to Romeo and Juliet, I hope you have had a chance to read and enjoy it and get clued up on the play.
Thank you for all the lovely comments, and the ratings from those who have already reviewed it on Amazon.
If you did enjoy it, it would be great if you would consider spending a couple of minutes rating and reviewing it as this will help enormously in helping others to discover it. Otherwise it gets lost in the ether.... Just a couple of sentences about what you liked would be ample, so it need not take long.
To those who have said they would love to read it, but don’t have a kindle or kindle app or could not download it, there is some news coming soon... watch this space!

A week until the launch of The Daily Bard. In the meantime, this is probably going to be the front cover for the first in the upcoming Lightning Classics Shakespeare Collection - A guide to Romeo and Juliet.

According to a YouGov poll, the Shakespeare play most people have heard of is Romeo and Juliet. The play with the next highest rating in this poll is... also a tragedy. Macbeth. Just don't say it out loud in the theatre - brings bad luck (see Blackadder the Third...). But that's just a survey of plays people have heard of, not necessarily their favourites. What do you think? If you know them (and I know some of you don't, and that's fine - you'll get to know them) - what is your favourite Shakespeare Play? And if you can explain in a few words - why? Enjoy the weekend!

Something to get you thinking: Our first Lightning Classic will be Romeo and Juliet. According to polling, this is the Shakespeare play most people have heard of.

To Facebook there's a service coming soon
A little piece of Bard each day from June.

10 points to the first person to say what type of verse this is.

The Daily Bard. From 1st June. A different piece of Shakespeare posted every day. It might be a quote, it might be an interesting fact about his life. Or something about Elizabethan theatre. Who knows? Like and Follow the page to get your daily dose of Shakespeare and to follow our journey creating a new series - Lightning Classics. We begin with Romeo and Juliet. More news coming. Like, Follow and Share with anyone who you think might be interested to follow the creation of The Daily Bard and Lighting Classics...
