Three arrests made in connection with Billy McNicholl’s murder

Police have now arrested three individuals in connection with the murder of Billy McNicholl in Ipswich. This follows an outpouring of grief and concern from the local community after the tragic incident on Saturday, 30th March.

To round off a perfect weekend of markets, we are back in Lavenham on Sunday! Over forty stallholders will be packing out the space outside the Village Hall and we'll have a lovely selection of craft stalls inside too. 
All your regulars will be with us and we've got some great Guest Producers joining us.
Please remember to park considerately if you choose to park in the village, making sure not to block driveways or park on grass verges. 
Dogs are very welcome at the farmers market but please make sure you clean up after them.

🚨 Arrest Made After Police Stop Recovery Vehicle in Ipswich 🚨

A recent incident in Ipswich involved the arrest of a 17-year-old girl following a high-speed chase.

The teenager allegedly drove a stolen car dangerously on the wrong side of the Ipswich Motorway, attempting to evade police.

The pursuit concluded when officers deployed tyre spikes, leading to the arrest of both the driver and her 14-year-old passenger.

The girl, already on probation for similar offences, has been denied bail due to her extensive criminal history and the serious nature of her.

A man has been arrested after police stopped a recovery vehicle in Landseer Road in Ipswich, Suffolk.

On the evening of Wednesday, 19th February 2025, a business located on Wherstead Road in Ipswich experienced a significant theft. Between 5:45 pm and 7:15 pm, three unidentified individuals forcibly entered the premises, shattered the windows of four vehicles, and stole a substantial collection of tools valued at several thousand pounds.

Details of the Incident:

Timeframe: The theft occurred between 5:45 pm and 7:15 pm.

Method: The perpetrators gained access to the property, broke the windows of four parked vehicles, and extracted the tools.

Stolen Items: The inventory of stolen goods includes:

Four Makita impact wrenches

One Makita DAB radio

One Makita reciprocating saw

One Makita LXT SDS drill

One Makita LXT impact driver

One Makita LXT drill/driver

Fifteen Makita 18v 5.0Ah batteries

Four Makita battery chargers

One Bosch 110v 9-inch disc grinder

One DeWalt impact driver

Two DeWalt 5.0Ah batteries with one corresponding charger

One Stihl battery-powered disc cut-off saw with a 36v battery

One Stabila spirit level

One of the suspects was observed wearing light-coloured trainers and a matching baseball cap. Descriptions of the other two individuals remain unavailable.

The project which aims to modernise and enhance the Grade II listed theatre’s facilities, with customer experience at the heart of the redevelopment.
