Kasabian is rumoured to play a “secret set” at this year’s Glastonbury festival. The band, now fronted by guitarist Serge Pizzorno after the departure of lead singer Tom Meighan in 2020, is reportedly set to perform at the Woodsies site on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 6 pm. This will be a significant return, marking a decade since their last appearance at the festival. A source shared that the band is excited to be a surprise act, expecting fans to be thrilled by the performance. Kasabian has a rich history, having formed in 1997 and achieving major success in 2004. They have since released six No. 1 albums. Meighan stepped down following personal issues and a court case for assault, and the band has since focused on moving forward without further comments on his departure.

Sum 41 has announced UK and European dates for their final tour, "Tour of the Setting Sum," set for October. The tour begins on October 21 in Den Bosch, Netherlands, and concludes on November 2 in Cardiff, UK. The band, comprising Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason 'Cone' McCaslin, Tom Thacker, and Frank Zummo, will be supported by The Bronx and Neck Deep on select dates. The pop-punk legends are disbanding after the release of their eighth album, Heaven :x: Hell. Frontman Deryck Whibley expressed excitement for the tour and gratitude to fans, promising to deliver their best performances.

Iconic American rock band Green Day closed The Isle of Wight Festival 2024 with a spectacular show, featuring hits from Dookie and American Idiot. Highlights included "Basket Case," "Wake Me Up When September Ends," and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong invited young fan Molly on stage to sing "Know Your Enemy." Elton John's new documentary to air at Toronto Film Festival
Elton John will debut his new documentary, "Elton John: Never Too Late," at the Toronto Film Festival in September. The film chronicles his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, the first tour to gross over $900 million, and features unseen concert footage, personal journals, and current footage of Elton and his family. Co-directed by R.J. Cutler and Elton's husband, David Furnish, the documentary captures his final performances in the US, concluding with his last show in Stockholm in July 2023. Post-tour, Elton has focused on his charity work. Following its festival debut, the documentary will stream on Disney+ later this year.

Paul McCartney to play first U.K. tour dates in six years
Paul McCartney, legendary Beatles icon, has announced his first U.K. tour dates in six years as part of his ongoing Got Back tour. Scheduled for later this year, these shows mark his return to the U.K. stage since headlining Glastonbury in 2022. McCartney expressed excitement about concluding his 2024 tour in the UK, calling it a special feeling to perform on home soil. The 81-year-old will play at Manchester's Co-Op Live arena on December 14 and 15, followed by London's O2 arena on December 18 and 19. The tour, which began in April 2022, features music spanning his illustrious career, including Beatles classics and solo hits. Additionally, McCartney has announced performances in Paris, Madrid, and various South American countries as part of his international tour schedule.

Bring Me The Horizon's new album will delve into frontman Oli Sykes' “path of healing” following his struggle with drug relapse and the departure of keyboardist Jordan Fish. The band's second LP in their ‘Post Human’ series, ‘Nex Gen’, released in May, sets the stage for this upcoming third entry. Metallica becomes the first band to take centre stage across all of Fortnite
Metallica is breaking new ground with a month-long collaboration with Fortnite, starting June 13, making them the first band to feature across all Fortnite experiences. The highlight is a custom-built in-game concert, "Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.," on June 22 and 23, offering performances of six iconic Metallica songs in an immersive gameplay setting. The band's involvement extends to Fortnite Festival Season 4, introducing the competitive Battle Stage mode. Glastonbury fans pre-warned that 2026 festival won't happen
Glastonbury Festival will take a break in 2026, with the next event expected in 2027. Fans are urged to secure tickets for the 2025 festival, featuring Coldplay, Dua Lipa, SZA, and Shania Twain. Co-organiser Emily Eavis explained the hiatus is a "fallow year" to allow the land and livestock to rest, preventing the festival from appearing commercially driven. Emily also shared that her father, Michael Eavis, nearly canceled the festival in the 1990s but decided to continue after his wife's death in 1999.

Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer rock The O2
