Our charity appeal to get Ross Revenge in to dry dock for maintenance and urgent structural repairs now stands at an amazing £340k - thanks to our dedicated listeners.

The National Lottery response to our recent ‘Expression of Interest’ is encouraging, making it clear it is interested to hear more about the charity’s proposals and offering some points for us to consider to develop the application for funding further

On 19 March 1980 Radio Caroline’s pirate radio ship Mi Amigo began to sink in heavy seas in the Thames Estuary. To commemorate that devastating event there will be a special meeting of the 648 Support Group - exactly 45 years on from that day. Meet a host of Radio Caroline and Caroline Flashback DJs and take part in a Mi Amigo-themed quiz. There's also the chance to buy a special commemorative t-shirt, only available at the meeting.

Just turn up! Everyone is welcome at Mr G’s Bowling Centre, Market Hill, Brandon, Suffolk IP27 0AA. The evening starts at 7pm and entry is a £5 donation including buffet. Bar, raffle and free parking. Overnight accommodation at the venue.

Rob Howard from the Vintage TV and Wireless Company in Norwich is special guest at a special Mi Amigo commemorative meeting of the 648 Group on Wednesday 19 March. The meeting remembers Caroline’s pirate radio ship, which sank in heavy seas 45 years ago to the day. You may have seen Rob in an episode of his show Retro Electro Workshop on Yesterday TV a couple of years ago, when he was filmed making studio repairs on board Ross Revenge

Go along and meet a host of Radio Caroline and Caroline Flashback DJs and take part in a Mi Amigo-themed quiz. There's also the chance to buy a special commemorative t-shirt, only available at the meeting.

In her high profile personal life she was a former girlfriend of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, when the couple were seen as the epitome of 1960s cool
