A 13-year-old girl has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of pensioner, Bhim Kohli from Braunstone.

She'll now go on trial on the 17th of February, alongside a 15-year-old boy who pleaded not guilty to the murder and manslaughter of Mr Kohli.

An RSPCA (England & Wales) investigation has begun to find the owners of 4 cockapoo dogs that were left tied to a gate in Staffordshire.

Inspector Graeme Brookes who found the dogs told Capital they were severely matted. He believes they have been used by unlicensed dog breeders because of sawdust found in the dog's coats.

After a 10-foot-high pile of rubbish was fly-tipped in Lichfield, Capital's been told it has already cost the tax-payer £10,000 just to begin removing the waste. It had entirely blocked Watery Lane. Cllr Alex Farrell said their investigation is still ongoing.

💷 Nottingham's been rated as the second 'least financially resilient place' in the UK. Nina Dauban from Forever Notts Foundation has told Capital & Smooth East Midlands that it's unsurprising, and Nottingham's the Midlands poor relative. She says the area's financial issues are well documented.

Nina also said that they're continuing to support groups on the ground across the county - and demand is increasing. She's hopeful the stats will act as a wake-up call.
