🦦 Ballater the otter 🦦 another friendly face from ‘the sad seagull’. This illustration might be my favourite in the whole book because of his little paws and his relaxed posture. My mum loves otters (who doesn’t) so I’ve been drawing them for years and will continue to do so!

🦔 Ffestiniog the hedgehog 🦔 One of the characters in ‘the sad seagull’ who tries to cheer Roger the seagull up when he is sad. Ffestiniog (fest-inny-ogg) was difficult to draw at first but once I got the hang of it, I loved the final outcome and he’s some people’s favourite character now!

We made a book! As part of my HND I wanted to illustrate a children’s book. My dad has always had a knack for making up stories with loveable characters, so we joined forces to create the Sad Seagull. We’re so happy with it, and it was amazing to see people pick it up and fall in love with all the characters we created. Don’t worry, the seagull gets a happy ending ☺️🤍

Unfortunately this is the only copy, maybe one day we’ll have more! I’ll maybe post photos of all the pages on my story sometime.

Rebrand alert 🚨 It's been about 2 years since I made the decision to abandon my potential law career (sorry dad) and pursue my creative side. I'm coming to the end of my HND in Visual Communication and wanted to update my brand. 🐯🎨I hope you like it! (The tiger obsession remains a mystery) Thanks for all your support along the way and I look forward to updating you on what's next for ninasmxthcreative!

Happy Holidays! 🤶🏼🎄✨ This is Midge, who I had the opportunity to draw for someone’s Christmas present this year. I used the wet acrylic brush on procreate and was asked to combine the Wonder Woman tag in the last photo with the first photo. Think it turned out ok!

The brief for this project was to create a poster using mainly typography. I chose to use the lyrics to Taylor Swift ‘red’. 🚗
