How’s your weekend been? I’ve had a great afternoon watching Mildenhall Fen Tigers Speedway beat Berwick Bullets to get through to the NDL Championship Final. I had a good chat with Fen Tiger’s captain Jason Edwards, and you can hear him on the show in the morning.

My topical Top 10 is back again, and as I spent last week's holiday on the Isle of Rona in Scotland, I thought this week's theme could be "island or islands". You don't have to restrict yourself to song titles or band names connected to islands, but also have a think of the artists and music released through Island Records! Or perhaps bands like Level 42 who originally came from islands! I look forward to counting the Top 10 from your suggestions.

It's very nearly Top 10 time again... and after talking about the rising prices at supermarkets on the show this morning, it does lend itself very well to compile a list of band names, song titles or lyrics connected to food.

Doesn't the week go quick when you have a Bank Holiday Weekend? Did you see the news yesterday about two Air France pilots who’ve been suspended after coming to blows in the cockpit of their flight between Geneva and Paris, in June? Amazing story! 😤🥊

Hello Friends, I hope you're having an enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend? What have you been up to? I've mostly spent the time catching up with family and friends. Exhausted now, so looking forward to getting back to work for a rest!! 😉 I'm live again tomorrow from the Garden Studio for a full GenX Radio Suffolk Breakfast, including 'Play Your Birthday Cards Right', 'Who Do You Think You Are' and most importantly, all the results from the 34th World Bog Snorkelling Championships!! Good Evening Friends. Hope you’re enjoying the slightly cooler weather? You know how we’ve been getting to know one another over the past few months? Firstly, can I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, not just with my show, but to GenX Radio as a whole. It means the world that you’ve changed your radio listening habits to include us. Please know that we will never take that for granted, and we will always strive to make GenX a fun place that plays the sort of music you love, and you feel that it’s time well spent with good friends.

Secondly, and because we know each other a little better, I can hopefully ask you a small favour. Would you like to get a bit more involved with my show? By that, I mean, would you like to occasionally come on the radio with me? I’m starting a brand new fun feature at about 8.10am every Tuesday and Thursday morning, called “Who Do You Think You Are?” The idea is that a number of clues are read out, as to the identity of a well known person. I would love it if you would help me by reading out the clues. It wouldn’t be live, we can record at a time to suit you. It's Top 10 time again!! Firstly, meet comedian Robin Grainger (on the left), with my friend Mike at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on Friday. Mike turned out to be the only audience member on the opening night of Robin's new comedy show, and it's made national headlines!! Fair play to Robin who took to the stage and performed his routine to his audient member! The good news is, Robin's month-long run at the Fringe is better supported with ticket sales now going through the roof!

So for the Top 10 this week, I'd love for you to come up with song titles or artists appropriate to this story. Think comedy, laughing, festivals, crowds, going solo, being alone, lonely, Edinburgh or Scotland. The choice is yours...

I've been looking through some old photos today and came across this picture of my brother and sister with me on the miniature train in Poole Park in August 1974! Happy memories of childhood summer holidays which I'll be talking more about, on the show, in the morning. See you at 7am!

A new report reveals nightclubs are in decline. There are 20% less nightspots to head to now, compared to the start of 2020. Where did you used to go clubbing back in the day? I hold fond memories of the First Floor Club in Ipswich and Taps Disco in Bury. Name the place you used to strut your funky stuff... and I'll see you at 7am! 🕺
