Last night we had a Christmas movie watch-along with some of our supporters on Patreon and despite researching how best to do it and finding a perfect solution, she abandoned that in favour of Zoom, which did not work well 😂

We got there in the end though! 😅 Thanks so much to everyone that joined and to for this picture of James and Sam watching the movie together. Anyone else prefer watching the TV upside down with their legs up the wall? 👀

You’ll be delighted to know that this coming Friday is the last episode of The ADHD Adults Podcast for 2023!

In Episode 147, in our usual shambolic way, we look back on 2023 from personal and also community perspective, answer more questions than usual for a Friday episode and look forward (really?) to 2024 might bring… 🧛🏻‍♂️🌪️🎈

This is another clip from ADHD Towers over on our Patreon. This is from a while back but we think it sums up the contradictions people can have, especially with both ADHD and ASD, when we want to be social party people but we’re also completely overwhelmed by the thought of leaving the house.

talks about becoming a hermit. This may resonate with those that were so looking forward to going out and celebrating until the time it came for them to actually leave the house 😅

Today we remember our regular podcast letter writer and ’s dad, Robert from Kidderminster, who passed away one year ago today… He loved taking this photo so much.

When he was in hospital he read all the comments sent by fans of the podcast and it made him smile when things were so difficult.

Of course, somehow, the letters continue to come ❤️

In 1902, British, paediatrician, Sir George still described ADHD as “an abnormal defect of moral control”…

We think it’s about time we claim this as a badge of honour, so you can now buy a wristband that says “I HAVE A DEFECT OF MORAL CONTROL… DEAL WITH IT” as part of our merch, link to shop below 🧛🏻‍♂️🎈🌪️

As we are working on a number of exciting new projects, the Friday podcast episodes from now on will be released every two weeks rather than every Friday.

So the next episode of the podcast will be released next Monday.!

The theme for this wee’s episode of The ADHD Adults Podcast is ‘ADHD and stress’.

Living with ADHD can often feel like navigating a stormy sea. The waves of overwhelming thoughts, the undercurrents of stress, and the unpredictable winds of distraction can make every day a unique challenge.

If you look at the symptoms of stress, and the symptoms of ADHD, then they look remarkably similar! Adults with ADHD perceive stress more than adults without ADHD.

This perceived stress can contribute to our coexisting, mental and physical health conditions
