Fighting Knife Crime London would like to thank Barnes Artists and St Michael’s Church Barnes for their supporting for us. Come to this amazing ART EXHIBITION this week and see what they have created. The only knives used are palette knives with rounded ends!

In the King’s Speech, there was…

*nothing at all to help young people trying hard to escape the circumstances that life has offered them

*nothing new to support and assist those living in our high-crime communities in London

* nothing to reassure that this even a priority for positive government action.

Has government abandoned the next generation of young voters and potential nation builders? We would really like to know. Can someone who really knows tell us why? Do they want their votes - or not?

This is excellent news, but we wait to see how it rates with other investments to improve communities and make our streets and public spaces safe places to be. The solutions to knife crime must involve a once-in-a-lifetime inter-departmental strategy for changing life chances for our young people.

The Government announces progress in delivering the National Youth Guarantee - including creating over 60,000 volunteering opportunities, delivered through the fund - in addition to two further funding opportunities.

Last week, the Government published a series of announcements that will increase opportunities for disadvantaged young people and help strengthen the youth sector.
