Once upon a time in a small town, there lived a man named Alex who always dreamed of mastering the art of kung fu. He spoke passionately about wanting to learn the ancient martial art, declaring to friends and family that he would start his training soon.

However, weeks turned into months, and Alex's commitment remained nothing more than words. Every time someone asked him about his progress, he had a different excuse – a busy work schedule, personal obligations, or simply not finding the right instructor.

One day, a wise old martial arts master named Master Li moved to the town. Excitement buzzed through the community as everyone hoped that Alex would finally seize the opportunity to learn kung fu from a true expert. Yet, as weeks passed, Alex still found reasons to delay.

Master Li, observing Alex's procrastination, decided to visit him personally. He questioned Alex about his reluctance, and Alex admitted his fear of failure and the challenges that came with learning something new.

Master Li, with a twinkle in his eye, shared a valuable lesson: "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Don't let fear hold you back. Embrace the challenges, for they are the stepping stones to mastery."

Inspired by Master Li's wisdom, Alex finally gathered the courage to start his kung fu training. The initial sessions were tough, but as he persevered, he discovered a newfound strength within himself. Each day brought progress, and soon, the excuses transformed into tales of dedication and triumph.

Alex not only learned kung fu but also gained a deeper understanding of commitment and discipline. The townsfolk marveled at the transformation, realizing that the only obstacle standing between Alex and his dream was his own hesitation.

And so, Alex's story became a local legend, a reminder that the path to mastery begins when one takes that first courageous step, no matter how long it's been delayed.

If you are interested in learning Kung Fu and have any questions or concerns, send me a message or come to a class for a chat and see for yourself.

I frequently get asked the question below so, here are a few quick answers:
1. Do I need to be fit? Not really, your fitness will develop over time.
2. Do I need to be flexible? Your flexibility will increase the more you come to class. It's important to work to you own ability.
3. What should I wear? T-shirt, tracksuit bottoms, comfy trainers.
4. How much is it? First lesson is free then £5 per session thereafter.
5. Do I need to become a member? Yes for insurance purposes. This is paid once per year. We will discuss this after your 2nd lesson.
6. What is the minimum age to start? 6 years old is the youngest we will teach. A parent can sit and watch if this helps your child.
7. Is it strict? Our style is a family style and as such we are relaxed and friendly we do however expect a level of focus and concentration to help you understand the exercises and instruction.
8. How do I get belts? We hold gradings throughout the year and if youbare ready you will be put forward for the grading.

If you have any other questions, feel free to message me.

I regularly get asked, "are you still doing your Karate thing?".
My answer is...."Yes".
I don't feel the need to correct anyone. Kung Fu is about yourself, not others opinion of yourself.
Through Kung Fu I have gained:
Confidence
Mental strength
Self acceptance
Patience
Focus
Belief
Calmness
Resilience
These are traits that are highly valued in today's society yet Chinese martial arts have been promoting them for thousands of years.
Of course, you also learn great skill, flexibility etc..etc.. but....
The biggest reward is on the inside.
Come and give it a try....you might even have some fun 😁
