Chasing The Sun Film featured as a British Film Institute Sustainable Screen Case Study

We worked very hard to minimise our carbon footprint during the making of Chasing The Sun, including using e-bikes from our friends at Trek Bicycle and Bosch eBike Systems to do a lot of location filming around the country.

So we are delighted that we are featured as a We Are ALBERT case study as part of the BFI Sustainable Screen initiative.

Founded in 2011, albert supports the global Film and TV industry to reduce the environmental impacts of production and to create content that supports a vision for a sustainable future.

We’ve had lots of feedback from people asking if we can extend the availability on Vimeo. Chasing The Sun: World Premiere at Kendal Mountain Festival

We are very proud to announce that our feature documentary Chasing The Sun will have its World Premiere at the prestigious Kendal Mountain Festival on 17th November 2023 in Kendal, Cumbria.

Pip Piper one of the producers of Chasing The Sun, said, “Kendal Mountain Festival is one of the world's leading adventure film festivals and has a focus around outdoor adventure, nature and climate emergency as well as cycling, so we are delighted that we are able to premiere the film there, as it shares many of those themes.”

The film will feature inspiring stories from iconic endurance cycling event Chase the Sun alongside contributions from broadcaster Ned Boulting writer/blogger Jools Walker World Champ mountain biker Tracy Moseley and legendary Turner Prize-winning artist Richard Long amongst others.

One of the key inspirations for Olly Moore when he first founded iconic endurance cycling event Chase the Sun was the the work of artist Richard Long. We were privileged to be on hand to capture the moment when Olly met Richard for the first time and presented him with a unique Chase The Sun print by The Handmade Cyclist.

Richard Long is an English sculptor and one of the best-known British land artists. Long is the only artist to have been short-listed four times for the Turner Prize. He was nominated in 1984, 1987 and 1988, and then won the award in 1989 for White Water Line.

We are thrilled that Richard is part of our feature documentary. His art is made by walking and cycling in landscapes, “an affirmation of my human scale and senses.”
