My first job back as a creative. The back to work didn’t quite go as we planned but it was a whole lot beautiful. I went through the emotional preparation of being away on a two day shoot, my first job since becoming a mama, the first time being away from my little human.

4 hours into the shoot, after I had emotionally started to settle the inpostor syndrome voice in my head and the terrible ache and guilt in my heart for being away, I received a phone call. My little man decided he was no longer going to take the bottle, the weeks of bottle prep came undone and it was clear my little sidekick did not want to be away from all the action or b**b (LOL) perhaps he wasn’t ready to be away from his mama just yet.

I found myself juggling little man and being on set. It was chaos, but a blessing to have him surrounded by the most supportive team that where so accommodating and of course to have the most amazing partner that followed us around for the two days. Racing back home for bed time feeds and back out late at night to get the shots needed. I was exhausted and realised in this moment it wasn’t impossible for me to go back to work but it was certainly very different, a new chapter. I am so proud of this creation, I will forever remember this job and the very special people that supported me to do what I love.
