COMMUNITY | The summer holidays are here and so is the launch of Ross Reads! 📚🌞🚀

The Ross Reads team have prepared around 80 bundles of books hidden all around the town and local villages. Each bundle is carefully placed in plastic bags to keep them dry during our unpredictable summer weather.

“We hope you enjoy searching for these books as much as we've enjoyed preparing them. We’re excited to see everyone out and about, hunting for books and sharing their locations. Feel free to share your finds and hides!”

The team will be out tomorrow in various locations, hiding the books and posting a few pictures of their hidden spots to give you a head start. Happy hunting! 🔎

ACTIVITIES ✅ Need idea's of what to do with the kids this summer, or maybe just need a few hours to yourself? 21Wellbeing's HAF program allows them to offer FREE spaces for their Summer Holiday Youth Sessions 10-16 years (subject to eligibility - children in receipt of free school meals). Paid spaces are also available £20 per session, £35 for 2 sessions, £65 for 4 sessions or £120 for all 8 dates, these can be booked via the Technogym app 📲👇🏻

Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 8.00 am until 5pm (1 hours break for lunch)

Holiday- 28 days, including bank holidays.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲
Following significant growth in recent years and following the appointment of a new Head of Finance, Cobrey Farms are seeking to find a Management Accountant to increase capacity within our Finance team.

As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation of monthly accounts for Cobrey Farms while being responsible for cash reporting, treasury management and the sales ledger.

You will also be responsible for payment and processing of our fortnightly, permanent payroll.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Prepare monthly management accounts for review by Head of Finance, including reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts, P&L analysis, and accompanying commentary.
Ad hoc financial analysis as required by Head of Finance or the partners.
Process the office fortnightly payroll as well as all HMRC and pension submissions.
Prepare and post payroll journals for all payroll.
Supervise day to day operations within the finance team.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Post and reconcile the business bank and petty cash accounts.
Prepare regular cash reports including a short term cashflow forecast.
Initial responsibility for sales ledger and credit control, including calculating and posting sundry crop, wine, and poultry sales invoices.
Liaising with Producer Organisation to reconcile invoices, grant funding, and loans.
Analyse and post the business credit cards.
Monthly HMRC alcohol duty returns.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂
To be considered for this hands on and varied Management Accountant role, you will need to hold your AAT Level 4 or be part qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.

You will have strong MS Excel skills, proven experience within management and financial accounting and have excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

You will be proactive and passionate about continued development and have the ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues at all levels.

Previous experience of running payroll is essential and farming or agricultural accounting would be desirable but not essential.

FUNDRAISER | The children of Wyetots Childcare Ross on Wye took part in a rideathon fundraiser to raise money for the playgroup. 🚲

They worked hard completing 10 laps of the course and in total raised over £600 to fund for new equipment and bikes to play with.
